Chinese PT76

I think it's because there's reason to believe the model has some inaccuracy in that PT-76 delivered to China in the 1950s appear to have operated with the later muzzle brake of the same type as PT-76B (so only difference is, no stabiliser). Where gaijin probably assumed it would have the muzzle brake seen on many early Soviet ones in that 1950s time period, and liked the fact that it visually distinguishes the Chinese PT-76 from the PT-76B in the Soviet and Finnish trees.

The upcoming Type 60/WZ-211 is probably seen as a better replacement than correcting the PT-76, since it's a domestic design that's largely the same as PT-76 in form and function, with a very similar 76mm gun and amphibious capability etc. but still visually distinct from what we see in other trees.

Yes, from the changelog here.

Quote
  • PT-76 (China)  - The tank will be removed (in two weeks from the major update release) from the Chinese ground vehicles tree and will be not available for research. The tank will remain with the players who researched or purchased the unit.

Does anyone know why it is being removed in the first place?
