I am somewhat of a roadmapper myself...

Here's a pretty decent roadmap to get started with the right footing:

  • Tomorrow: Increase default RP gains by 10%, SL gains by 20% and see how it goes from there. No need to wait for months, smol change and collect data on it to see if it is enough or more is needed.

  • The day after: Reduce repair costs by 30% and at the same time, bring premium vehicle repair costs on bar with normal ones.

  • The day after tomorrow: Add SL gain to Talismans (DO IT!!!!!), that would allow players who have actually grinded the tech tree to build their own grinders as reward and will provide much more variety to matches other than facing premiums all the time. The premiums would still have their extra niche that allows you to bypass tech tree ranks, sometimes extra research line and have a wider grind range (unlimited backward grind). This imo would be one of the most beneficial changes, because a lot of people would love to fly their favorite planes more often instead of having to use premiums to farm. Also at the current state with premiums at each rank, talismaning planes has become way less meaningful, to reach top tier, all the package planes are more than sufficient and sometimes you talisman something else on r7 to reach r8 but that's about all.

  • The next day after tomorrow: Add/bring back more ways for people to earn GE in-game. Paying premium should be enough of a subscription cost to make game less grindy for the extra benefits you should totally be able to rack up GE in-game, but not as F2P (to incentivize premium, because I do feel that paying a really cheap subscription fee for a game you are actively playing is just polite, i find no pride in being fully f2p player, unless you're dirt poor in which case you should focus on improving your life not your ingame lineup)

That would be a good start to get the juices flowing!

Couldnt agree more, this is exacly what Gaijin needs to do if they want the review bombing to stop any time soon.

I would settle for 10% RP and SL Gains even without a repair cost reduction (obviously more of a reduction would make things easier but gaijin is much more likely to agree to making a smaller change and 10% would be fine to start off)

The amount of people who just head back to airfield and J out if they see they are against the odds in air rb is so overwhelming, I wish there would be less incentive to do so and for people to actually fight til the glorious or painful end more often :( Winning on tickets without fight is sadge.

Im not really sure how gaijin could incentivise fighting right to the end if you are on the loosing team, (other than by punishing players who J out even on the airfield but that would be a bad thing) maybe repair costs could dynamically reduce based on time spent in the battle so if you survive past 15mins repair costs might be 50% to encourage the remaining players to actually fight or something like that.

A way of surrendering/ resigning if you are the last player on your team that dosent take as long as flying back to the airfield and repairing then J out would also be a resonable solution imo, some players are never going to fight to the end so giving them a way out that dosent waste everyones time seems like a fair approach.

Anyway this is the sort of thing gaijin can think about and then make some polls for the community After they have made some of the easier changes like above

Years of anti-fun practices have made us very suspicious of any promise by Gaijin, most players expect to be tricked somehow.

Review-bombing still ongoing despite the apology and the forthcoming road-map.

It's even starting to leak outside  Warthunder community and Gaijin is becoming a textbook case for the typical F2P abuser ("external" content creators are jumping on it and airing our dirty laundry)

Emergency situation equal extraordinary measures, today before tomorrow (flash update, rise something, pledge to do more every upcoming update...)

Make your customers happy, now!

No, what I meant with this was just to explain you the reasoning behind the reduced repair costs that you mentioned. Losing less SL when dying would make some people actually try to win not conserve their vehicle. Potentially. Probably by not much :D

Threads and posts like that.. No wonders devs doesn't listen to community

that's why we have Threads, so many more ppl can add or reson with the suggestion to make it more clear what the problem/fix or just a new thing can be implemented with as little complications as possible.

so you could add or reson against OP or be a di'k

10% rep gain is a joke from what they've taken over the past 2 to 3 years. It needs to be a minimum of 20%
