Threashold 224 Report post Posted June 12, 2023 (edited) First off my apologizes if it's wrong place to post this. but recently I suspected the altitude measurement (hud-text) not accurate as you can see in the picture I obv. landed on the airfield and the alt says 500m, even though the aircraft is on the ground which is about 30--50M only as well as this also happens when crashing in the sea. Is that normal? I know this topic may seem a lil bit fun and not really important, But it's important in SB as most of the it's battles are dark and cloudy you can't see the land probably so you have to relay on the Alt, measurement . Could the Hud-tex Alt measurement is 500m maybe because the airfield is on a hill or something? Would be good to have true alt option, instead of just the sea-level altitude it displays, but interestingly, and I can see that you are in Sim ( I think) the altimeter in the cockpit is often true-alt. Such as in the Tornado Gr1, The reading in the cockpit hud is your actual altitude.
