[Feedback] War Thunder Changes Roadmap

As I've already said this one of the best move gaijin makes, showing care to playerbase and that's what makes it great, however Will you guys  look into SB and it's rewards system in the near future? It's little messed up  once again.  Thank you

This last update is just a joke for Iraeli trees.......i really hope Gaijin will add new "serious" AA and "light"  tanks like Namer IFV( not so light for sure but nice) or Eitan for exemple ?

 

About Merkava, there is a real problem with the front defense, israel put the engine on front to protect the crew.....at this time it look's like weak as a bmp, will you change that in future ?

Always great to see positive changes. However I am also interested when the following changes will be fixed as well:

 

- Spawncamping.

- Bomber gunners not firing at enemy.

- WW2 vehicles/airplanes vs cold war vehicles and planes.

- Unteam-like behavior in the battle.

- Players with high specs rig playing with ultra low graphic settings.

- The increased number of cheaters and the report console being limited to only few players and being very unspecific regarding the cheater report

- Stealing a bomb run from a bomber players.  A bomber player claims a bomb run, and some fighter players dives on it on purpose so that the bomber player get 1 shot killed by the enemy or a teammate without having any score due to stealing of the bomb run.

- Steal kill players.

- The issue where you are the last surviving member of your team in Air RB when you are landing on your airfield to reload and repair and while you are doing that, the tickets run out and the game claims that "there are no more active team players" which itself is a false statement in the game.

- Bombs from your own plane drop and explode 3cm from enemy tank but cause do damage whatsoever.

- Team size: Often teams are not equally sized and you are in the team that has 3 or more players less than the other team.

- PT boats are now matched up against Destroyers and Cruisers. Same goes for other vehicles.

I had the chance to fly in Air RB all of the revised maps and i was happy to see this insanely large distance map Spain now corrected. I picked especially this (out of some other points i fully support) as it shows 2 issue:

  1. Game play related topics are from an holistic perspective as important as economy or progress issues as they both kill the actual fun whilst playing the game. What is the point to fight (in your long researched favorite vehicle) against all odds (or have an epic game), fighting multiple opponents as last man standing and then to lose instantly as soon as you hit the runway?
  2. Highly ineffective bug report handling regarding game play related issues: This bug (like many others) is reported dozens of times without any reaction by gaijin showing an active willingness to improve game play. In addition the search function on the bug report site is useless, u can browse for hours with the right keyword and you still won't find bug reports you have seen a few months ago....

I see sometimes things adjusted by gaijin showing a high level of passion for the game play itself - and on the other hand almost obsessed approaches to implement realism in a totally fictional game play - that makes no sense at all.

 

Example?

 

They nerfed B-18B and T-18B almost 4 months ago. The formerly existed and implemented maximum bomb load can't be created or reproduced with a custom loadout anymore. The message says: Max load 1.620 kg is exceeded by 8,8kg. Do the math - we talk about 0.5% overload. Impossible to measure this in irl circumstances. Just read the reply in the bug report:

You might argue that 200 kg (we talk about missing 4x50 kg) loadout is not decisive, but due to the high full uptier ratio (untill the current flood of event P-51s i had at least 70% full uptiers to 5.0) these 200 kg can actually decide games as they allow you to kill 2 non-respawning bases on older maps like France 1944, Moscow 1941, etc -  instead of just one.

 

So a useless weight limit of 0.5% is able to decide the outcome in frequent full uptiers as the TNT required to kill a non-respawning base increase from 0.5 to 0.8 tons of TNT from BR 4.7 to BR 5.0....

In any case, it is an irrefutable fact that there are contradictions between the gajin and the player's community, and behind the radical Movement of players'community in exchange for the concessions of the game official is the fact that this contradiction has accumulated for many years.There is no doubt that there is hope for the resolution of this contradiction which benefit everyone.

 

The change in the Silver Lion's revenue commitment is very exciting, but I think it needs to be increased to the Silver Lion's revenue needs to be greatly increased, compared to 3.7BR or 6.7BR who are willing to ship multiple vehicles, at 8.7BR some people are not willing to ship multiple vehicles because there is no premium account and gift vehicles resulting in maintenance costs. This shows that there are big problems with the current maintenance fee mechanism. I agree with gajin's proposal of fixing maintenance fee for each level.

This is what we want all the time.Not just cold war ear vehicles,but all tt above 7.7 BR,its BR deserve a huge extense.Just as the 1.7-7.7 vehicles are upgraded by BR according to different firepower, protection, and mobility, the 8.0-11.7 vehicles should reflect the differences in the fire control system and perception system in the BR, such as the current environment with only 0.3 BR difference but significant changes in performance should not exist.【like WZ305 and ItPsV 90】 gajin should reflect the combat characteristics of each BR and move vehicles that do not have this combat characteristic out of the BR,like F104S,J8B,J35A,G91YS in AirRB.

It is extremely urgent that a ban on hate speech and id is what everyone wants,a gaming environment without attack,insult,humiliation,in case some monitors use that as an excuse to ban players on its own will i suggest every time one get banned its hate-speech must appear as in text or in screenshots or replays be listed as an evidence.

Last change i ever want is FPE can be replaced like shell in captured zones,

It would be good for talismans to provide bonuses similar to that of premium vehicles (but not as strong). Especially SL multipliers or lower repair costs. Currently there are many players who only spawn their premium vehicles even if they have a line-up to back it up, leaving their team at a huge disadvantage. Free backups on premium would not fix this issue as they would run out, but increasing talisman will fix the issue permanently and increase diversity.

Also I found and confirmed 2 wallhackers just today. Checked their replays and they were blatantly tracking, ambushing and shooting at hidden targets way out of hearing range. There needs to be a focus on cheat prevention tools in future updates. People don't realize how rampant cheaters are at top tier because they have no way to identify it quickly. If Gaijin can't do it, then we need an Overwatch system like CS GO.

There is one thing that is not talked about in the game and it is the sounds of the engines. It has been a while since the sounds of the engines don't make any sense, you can hear the engines of other tanks even when you are 200 meters away, when it would be impossible for the sound of your own engine and the fact of being in a closed place such as a tank, you should only be able to hear other people's engines with the engine stopped and having them close if you are with an open vehicle.

Those changes looks great, so keep it up and thank you for new way of communication.
I would like to know if repair compensation is going to be applied to SIM battles too and if there are any plans to add RB enduring confrontation in air or ground version also if new bigger or different targets for bombers are going to be added. Nice would be also an economy rework in SIMs in genereal, because when you want to play non-premium bomber or attacker it´s almost impossible to get even with silver lions due to usefull action system.

The Merkava 4 in game is not "as weak as BMP".

A BMP can typically take 1 APFSDS shot to the front and survive, despite its small size. The Merkava will typically die from a frontal shot in game. Therefore a 14 ton BMP is better armored than an 80 ton modern MBT.

If old players were that concerned with historical accuracy, then there should be no objection to removing those vehicles from the game entirely, but the same players who say those vehicles shouldn't be re-introduced because they are historically inaccurate are the ones who are playing them in battles, so the effect of that defense unfairly prejudices new players and isn't consistent with the original purpose of removing them. From a game-play perspective, it is equally unfair as the tanks which were removed are actually pretty good and fun to play.

You sir are a national treasure! You explained the absurdity of their logic better than I could. Seems like the out cry for the panther II to return is ramping up and I'm absolutely here for it! We want the panther II back!

I honestly think one of the big changes we need to see is with the spawn cost of Heli's and Aircraft. There is just too much of people Rushing caps, J'ing out or rushing to suicide by enemy to get in a plane and then make it to the enemy spawn to bomb the second wave. Its called Ground RB, Yet there tends to be more air in it than ground lately. It might as well just be called mixed. Or allowing a Ground only mode a couple days out of the week. Of course if we are going to increase the spawn cost of aircraft and Heli's yes we should make SPAA cost more as well. But this is something that needs to be more balanced... Its not fun or engaging to survive for 5 minutes and then spawn just to be bombed or heli spammed right after spawning the 2nd time in a match. 
Can't wait for the care bears to call it a skill issue.

I have ran into too many cheaters recently, And one still hasn't been banned despite all 4 people in the squadron reporting that game and multiple other replays on top of it. They literally seem to have just left it to the anti cheat that ruins sounds and vehicle rendering all too often.

Refillable FPE would be nice.

Increasing the rewards for foldered vehicles would perhaps increase the time they are used, increase the amount of people researching them and staying at a given Rank/Br.

Good changes, hopefully they will all be implemented.

I had to leave some feedback over the lack of changes on RB maps.

While ground RB needs bigger maps, Air RB definitely wants smaller maps, especially in 9.0-11.0 range.

12.0 can stay on the current map rotation since those are fast planes, but 9.0-11.0 really suffers if you don't play something very fast.

Either bring back EC mode and make normal maps the norm, or introduce some of the benefits of EC to the regular Air RB gameplay, to make playing subsonic planes a possibility on these huge maps. 

TL:DR below:

IT'S NOT FUN TO BE REQUIRED TO TAKE OFF AND FLY 7-8 MINUTES TO THE MIDDLE OF THE MAP IN A SUBSONIC EVERY GAME.

It should've, that's why I'm not even really playing again. Once they fix the RP and SL I'll invest money into the game again. But if they want to wait till September that's on them. They're hurting their own pockets at this point.

Plus if they were smart they would've changed RP right away with the summer sale coming up to get people to buy premium vehicles during the sale. But that would make too much sense lol.
