Need help with account settings


So I recently lost access to my email that I had for over 15 years.  Happened without warning or explanation.  I used that email to create my Gaijin account and now I need to change it to my new email.  Problem is, when I go to account settings to try doing that, it says I need to use Gaijin Support for help (what moron decided that was a good idea?).   No account that I have ever had anywhere has required the help of support to change the god damn email linked to the account.  And as if that isn't stupid enough on its own, there is no section in support for changing the email address connected to an account.  Has anyone else had this issue?  What genius decided this was a good idea?  And how do I actually change the email linked to my account?

Well, I think I figured it out.  Unfortunately there seems to be a waiting period before my new email will start receiving emails (why?).  Not sure what I can do until then...  And I still don't know how to delete my old email from the account, or if that's even possible.

See discussion here (which i think suggests what you already did):

Be advised that i am under the impression (from past discussions) you CANNOT change the primary address without support assistance, as it is your login into the game itself.

I would be very wary of deleting the primary email (as some suggest in the discussion), as ALL official communication says ONLY SUPPORT can change the main email address.
