Mouse maneuvering in aircraft now disabled when using radio

It used to be that I could continue maneuvering my aircraft while using the radio commands.  This was always essential for me when trying to evade enemies on my tail and needing to ask my team for help at the same time.  After this last update, whenever I try to use the radio, it disables the mouse for maneuvering the aircraft until you're done using the radio commands (what genius decided this was a good idea?).  This has already caused me to die multiple times.  Is there some way to change it back?  I tried looking in settings but couldn't figure it out.
