WT Italian Tech Tree Fan Made

Hello, Guys

First of all we would like to thank NoTarget, that helped  and gave his greatly appreciated support to us.

I'm here on your forum to present a work that kept us busy for over two months, making people from many different Countries co-operating, and costed us a lot in terms of time and energy for researches and technical problem.

Now,  at the end of our work,  we are proud to present our Italian independent tech tree, made by 80 different aircraft.

We worked very hard in preparing such a tree because Italy was one of the most important participants in Second World War, the third main Axis air force, and it was necessary to pay this tribute to our pilots who fought with their amazing machines during the conflict.

All the planes  you will find in our website flew, no paper plane was included: this was the main rule we gave us, from the real beginning, and we followed it.

This is the link: http://italiantechtreewtint.weebly.com/

We hope Gaijin and you will appreciate our work

Nice work guys.... and nice Page full of ideas.

But:

I dont like the italian Planes that are allready in game, so why more? Sure because of historical correctness...... but have they any chance against the other planes?( Sry i dont know and havent read the text on the page only the pics^^)

Because:

1. Pls look at performances of some of them, sometimes you'll realize that there were other good machines, that you  had not considered yet.

2. italian aircraft producion lacked of german organization and heavy machineries, for sure. In fact the only good italian engines were designed by Germans. But when those marvellous engines could be mounted on italian "chassis", we had some really interesting aircraft.

3. Italians did not have an aircraft mass production like you had, and all the machines were almost handcrafted works. Reggiane Re. 2005, for instance, is considered worldwide the nicest aircraft of WW2 (not by italian judges). Sometimes the Serie 5 airplanes (Macchi C. 205, Fiat G. 55 and Reggiane Re, 2005 were cosidered like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati...

4. Italian planes that are in game now are not the best: just MC 202 can be considered a good (but not exceptional) airplane; even if English pilots, in Africa 1942, were desperately looking for some captured "Folgore", since they thought it was a very good plane (poorly armed for sure).

As to CR 42, it was good in 1939, but in 1940 it was already obsolete. MC 200 was not a good plane. As to SM 79, it was a good medium bomber, like your Ju 88.

3. Why not? Even if you do not like in-game italian airplanes, why don't you try also others?

4. Devs promised the next tech tree will be Italy, many times

Pls do not look at the italian tree with prejudice, you could be wrong.

I don't look at the italian tree with prejudice. Why should I. As I said, good work. You guys spent a lot of time in this I guess.

So this work is for the Devs and the players, to give them a push in the right direction? Italian tree advertisement, kinda? From fans of italian planes?

Good idea and great job thx ! Hope gajin introduced some Planes like Macchi C.206,207 or Fiat G.55A or Macchi C.205V Veltro because G.55 and 205V flew also in Egyptian markings but german and ANR Decals for some types would be nice too,

Awesome job. You guys must be real fans of the italian airforce.  :salute:

And great input for Gajin, if they ever keep their promise about an italian tree. Some planes look really good. And some have nice stats. If Gajin implements them reasonably, I would surely fly some of them. And spend some Eagles on the premiums.

PS: Perhaps we need a lot of japanese planes first, and also close some gaps in the british tree, and more competitive german jets. And of course we need much more russian planes badly.   ;)s

Sorry, but Macchi C. 206 (never got an engine) and C. 207 (just designed) were paper planes.

No, Italian tanks were beef cans. We had just 1 good cannon, 90/53 AA/AT gun, its performances were similar to Flak 18, but 1 year later, when you had already the Pak 43, that was undoubtedly much better.

And the only "tank" that used that good 90/53 cannon was a SP gun, even if often used as TD (yes, a TD with just 6 rounds onboard and a thin armour that could protect just 2 men of a crew of 4...)

Italians will surely have troubles in preparing a tank tech tree, but less than japanese...how come nobody complain about japanese tanks? ugly, useless, low powered, poorly armed, and produced in small numbers.

I have two questions.

How good are the italian planes? I mean, we only read in standard historic letters or documentation from germans or japanese as axis fighters.

Have they chances against other planes?

I apologize for this questions, because these Italians are really unknown Country for me.
