(2.15.0.29) AMX-50 Modeled with Incorrect Gear Ratios and Top Forward and Reverse Speeds

# Game version

My game version: (2.15.0.29)

# Description

The AMX-50 in-game is incorrectly modeled with the wrong gear ratios, which therefore affects the top reverse speed. The vehicle is also very slightly slower than it should be forward.

Current Gear Ratios:

As modeled, the current gear ratios consist of 5F/1R:
1: 8.714 - 5.85 km/h = (1/8.714) x 51

2: 3.812 - 13.38 km/h = (1/3.812) x 51

3: 2.259 - 22.58 km/h = (1/2.259) x 51

4: 1.452 - 35.12 km/h = (1/1.452) x 51

5: 1 - 51 km/h

R1: -9.7 - -5.85 km/h

But, irl, it had completely different gear ratios, including a second reverse gear which is currently missing:

As well as the listed top speed for the AMX-50, which was 51.5 km/h:

The second reverse gear was a copy of the 3rd forward gear, hence it says 3rd reverse gear. This gives the AMX-50 5F/2R gears:

1: 9.7 - 5.31 km/h = (1/9.7) x 51.5

2: 4.4 - 11.71 km/h = (1/4.4) x 51.5

3: 2.7 - 19.07 km/h = (1/2.7) x 51.5

4: 1.7 - 30.3 km/h = (1/1.7) x 51.5

5: 1 - 51.5 km/h

R1: -9.7 - -5.31 km/h

R2: -2.7 - -19.07 km/h

Correction of these gears, as well as raising of the top forward speed, would have the effect of raising the top reverse speed from -5.85 to -19.07 km/h. Although this will have the effect of slightly lowering the top speed of every other gear besides 5th, but correspondingly increasing available low-end torque, which should increase take-off power.

The only complication is that, as is, the AMX-50 we have in-game is not the standard AMX-50 TO100, but the AMX-50 TOA100, and as such is 7.84t overweight, as shown in a previous report, that has yet to be implemented:

If this report was implemented, the AMX-50 TOA100's P/W ratio would be higher than Char 40t (21.66hp/t vs. 21.41hp/t), so I believe the top forward speed should be somewhere around Char 40t's, which is 60km/h.

If we were to use 60km/h as the top forward speed, instead of the known top speed of 51.5km/h for AMX-50 TO100, these are the calculated top speeds per gear:

1: 9.7 - 6.19 km/h = (1/9.7) x 60

2: 4.4 - 13.64 km/h = (1/4.4) x 60

3: 2.7 - 22.22 km/h = (1/2.7) x 60

4: 1.7 - 35.29 km/h = (1/1.7) x 60

5: 1 - 60 km/h

R1: -9.7 - -6.19 km/h

R2: -2.7 - -22.22 km/h

But, I can't be sure what the "real" top speed should be for AMX-50 TOA100. As it wasn't intended to be produced (it was only mounted for testing the TOA100 turret before the Char 40t chassis was ready) there is very little documentation on this tank/turret combination.

So, in light of that, the top F/R speed should range somewhere between 51.5/-19.07 to 60/-22.22km/h. At the very least though, it should be no less than 51.5/-19.07km/h, which is what AMX-50 TO100 would be, if we had it in-game.

# Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Inspect gear ratio code.

  2. Compare current values to known historical values.

Sources should comply with the requirements.

2 copies of the Char M.4 (later known as AMX-50. This being the "real" AMX-50, meant to be put into production, aka AMX-50 TO100. Fyi, the tank was actually never called M.4, except for on paper. It was always called Char Moyen de 50t when built) technical sheets, so graciously provided by our friend @Colasix:
