The Piaggo P.108 was a four engined bomber developed by the italian air force during WWII. It first entered service in 1941 and 24 bomber versions of this aircraft was built. It was comparable to the British and American four engined bombers at the time and it could carry a good bomb load in comparison to other italian bombers. However, on many aspects this aircraft was clearly inferior. It was relatively slow, with a top speed of 420 kilometers per hour, and the 1500 horsepower engines were considerably unreliable. Internal bomb load was consisted of up to 7.7 thousand pounds with bombs of 50 to 500 kilogram weights.  Defensive armament consisted of 5 12.7mm machine guns and two rifle caliber guns.

 

In game, the Piaggo P. 108 could be a tier IV heavy bomber that could be roughly similar to the Lancaster and the B-17E. I believe that this would make a wonderful expansion to the Italian tech tree and provide a good insight into some of the less known aircraft of the era.

Needs to be introduced in the German tree so they can actually have a heavy bomber.

Yes! They were considered unreliable, though, since they were remotelly controlled.

I should mention that this is also the plane that the Italians fitted the 102mm cannon to.. meaning if you add this in the game we are all gonna want the cannon modification too ;D
