More German Track upgrades?

Hello, I would like to discuss the possibility of further German track upgrades.

Almost any vehicle in the Wehrmacht had the possibility to add track upgrades.

I guess most of you already heared about the Ostketten, but additionally

Panzer III and Panzer IV could use Hammerstollen and Mittelstollen to provide more traction in mud or snowy terrain.

Panthers and tigers had their versions of Mittelstollen, too.

Tigers could even use 3 Mittelstollen on each tracklink.

All pictures are taken from the book "Panzerketten" by Dr. Peter Schwarzmann, ISBN-978-3-943883-00-8

Open for discussion. :salute:

I would recommend expanding your idea a bit further and explaining why such an upgrade would be necessary and what benefits it would bring to the vehicles this could be used on. Your current suggestion is just proposing an idea without giving a good explanation of why this would be a good addition to the game, other than the reason that it was used by certain vehicles.

However,if the advice above isn't followed after 48 hours, the suggestion will be closed as it's deemed incomplete.

I thought this could be a good way to personalize tanks to the players liking.

On soft terrain these track attachments provide more traction making the tanks more maneuverable.

The downside is that when using these attachments on hard terrain like streets the track will have less traction and therefore be less maneuverable.

Depending on what map you are playing on and what route you want to use you can choose to fit these attachments or not.

These attachments could be researchable via the tank-tech-tree and fitted like camouflage just before spawning on the map.

I'm happy to see more of these added to the game.

I know that wider tracks tend to improve handling and make the tank less likely to get stuck in the mud but what exactly is the difference between the ostketten and the winterketten?

From what I understood

Oostketen were made for mud

Winterketten for snow

The visual difference is a small diagonal metal strut (gripping bar) seen on the extension on the Winterketten
