F-86K
NATO version of F-86D, with a MG-4 fire control system; four 20 mm M24A1 cannon with 132 rounds per gun; APG-37 radar. 120 were built by North American, 221 were assembled by Fiat.

F-86L (more on the F-86L later on in this review)
Upgrade conversion of F-86D with new electronics, extended wingtips and wing leading edges, revised cockpit layout, and uprated engine; 981 converted.

The F-86K was pretty much a simplified F-86D Sabre with some features removed and replaced with others. The F-86 “Kilo” was built under license by Fiat in Italy. The main differences being a MG-4 fire control system in place of the then secret Hughes E-4 system and four Mauser 20mm cannon replacing the machine gun and rocket pod tray armament of the F-86D.

Another difference of significance was the lengthening of the K's fuselage in order to balance the centre of gravity. The extra parts were lengthened in two places by two plugs, one behind the cockpit and one on the underside behind the trailing edge of the wing.

The spacers built into the elongated "K" model shown in red here

The wing was also made longer and slats were introduced into the leading edges. The first F-86Ks were like the F-86Ds equipped with the narrow-chord and long slatted 6-3 wing, the Luftwaffe F-86Ks were Fiat-built aircraft equipped with the extended-span and chord F-40 wing. Later most of the early produced F-86Ks were retrofitted with the F-40 wing.

Eh, I'd say no. This plane has a climbrate that almost exceeds 13.000 feet per minute, that's pretty powerful even compared to things like the Mig17 and Hunter, and would open a door to a lot of power creep.

It would be great!

Russians have the Mig 17; Britain have the Hunter;

Add F-86K for germans; the F-86H for USA and F-86F40 for japanese and the game would finally be equal for all nations again.

Right now Mig17 and Hunter overperform all other planes. This would bring balance.

(or do the lame solution of adding mig 17 for german as well).

to let the German line at the level of other nations like Great Britain to Russia and American would be of great help to the German line as the nation does not have a decent top tier.

Honestly, I'd prefer the G.91 myself.  True, it's also derived from the same F-86 variant that the F-86K is, but it's a different-enough airframe to be considered a new aircraft.  Furthermore, there was a variant made specifically for the Luftwaffe (designated the G.91/R-3 iirc) which had a pair of 30 mm cannons of similar design to the ADENs on the Hunter.

Guys, Germany already has the CL13, whose performance exceeds that of the F86F-2, and is on par with the Hunter and Mig17.

you will want to play with your CL-13 with his .50, falling with Hunter, Mig 17 and F-2 Sabre?

we can start with F-86 K on tier-VI coming to United States, Germany, Japan, Italy and even for French in the future.
Italy acquired under license from North American Aviation to manufacture F-86K

no this is not a suitable for current 9.0. This significantly outerform the Mig17 and even the Hunter Mk1.

This is like early tier 6 material forcing other nations  to newer newer stuff, This would mean higher

performance  transonics

 like Russia getting the Mig17F.

Uk the Hunter Mk6 ,

US getting   F86H  for the USAF tree as well as the F3H demon for the US naval Tree.

because otherwise the F86K would just be a Powercreep Against current 9.0 jets. I dont see why anybody would want this thing at 9.0.

In 1953 Italy signed a licence agreement with North American for the production of the MDAPapproved export version of the F-86, known as the F-86K.  Fifty component sets were originally supplied out of the NAA plant.  These were initially assigned USAF serials, but after assemb were given Italian Matricola Militaire (MM) serials, this one being MM6185.  Over 300 would eventually be operated by the Italian Air Force.
