i would like to propose the IMAM Ro.57 and the IMAN Ro.57 Bis for the italian tree

The IMAN Ro.57 was a twin engine, single sitted monoplane designe in 1939 but didn't entered in production before 1943.

by the time it entered in production it was already obsolet but 200 aircraft was ordered but only 50 to 75 was built (Italia was under attack at that moment)

two varriation was ever built. the Interceptor Ro.57 and the Attacker Ro.57 Bis

the Ro.57 was based on the Ro.53 who never entered in production. The Ro.57 consisted of an all-metal, semi-monocoque, the structure and the wind was made of Duralumin but the skeleton was made of steel. Powered by two 840 hp (630 kW) Fiat A74 radial engines giving a maximum speed of 516 km/h, which in 1939 was better than that of the main Italian fighter, the Macchi C.200 (504 km/h). After testing at Guidonia it was proposed by IMAM for use as a dive bomber. the new task lead to the development of the Ro.57 Bis who had an additional pair of 20mm gun and a up to 500kg of bomb. the performence droped but the Ro.57 Bis entered in production and between 50 and 75 plane was built entered service with the 97° Gruppo in 1943.

It is said that the Ro.57 could have been the long range interceptor that Italy lacked throughout the war. It proved to be too costly for the limited weapons it carried and it never was assigned a clear role.

This one of my favourite italian plane!

I really want it in game, in particular the dive bomber version, as Italy actually lack a proper dive bomber.

italina lack of proper bomber and dive bomber. the choice is a bot restrained. i wish to see the italian become a proper nation to play. a few more specification can be added to all my recent suggest. they are here to discussion and aren't final.

One of my favourite italian planes.

The pure fighter, not being mass produced, seems a good candidate for a premium, while the "bis" version (fighter bomber) has been produced in numbers and assigned to a unit, so should be in regular tree.
