Today I suggest STA-3. This tank is Second prototype of Type 61 in  January 1960. (First one is STA1&STA2)

Its basic specification is same as the Type 61, but this tank has auto-loader!

I think it will be good tank for Japanese hollow ground tectree!

from what i remeber of what Mai_Waffentrager said it's essentially identical to the normal Type 61 just with the autoloader they removed as it would be too expensive at the time to implement both finacially and manufacturing (as it was very complicated and would've extended the time they spent on the production line)

Incidentally, according to Mai Waffentrager's article on the Type 61, the ST-A3 (as well as the ST-A4) had a remote-controlled 20mm in place of the 12.7 mm machine gun tested at some point. I haven't actually seen any of pictures of that, though.

In any case, the ST-A3 would be pretty nice. From what I can see, the autoloader holds 11 rounds, which should be fun.

I would like to see it as premium tank. Because Japan has only 1 Rank IV Premium and it is TD...Japan need more premium tanks.

how about more tanks in general and not put behind a paywall? it's not like there's a whole hell of a lot for japan to choose from.

+1 It's another STA but at least it's unique. Let's hope its turret doesn't suffer from shrinkage

My short video of the ST-A 3 on a testing grounds i found.

Note at the end of the video in the back of the turret there are 2 circles/ rings behind it, I'm believe that this is related to the auto-loader device.

If the 20mm were used, they should have them instead of .50 cals. If not, then should be added in the modification for upgrades. Start off with 12.7mm MG, then later upgrade them to 20mm cannons. ST-A3 with autoloader, 20mm cannon on top....perfect tank for Japan. Japanese version of the Kpz-70 and Leopard 2k. May fit at a Br of 6.7 or 7.0Br
