If you ever wanted to play one of those Italian bike, here is a good solution. the Moto Guzzi 500 TriAlce is for you

 

 

 

you may at first find it ridiculous and it's half a troll in himself. the Moto Guzzi 500 TriAlce  is actually a real decent SPAA for the italian tree who saw action in all italian front. the design was born in 1938 as a replacement of the Moto Guzzi GT 17 and was intensifly use by the Italian royal army. the Moto Guzzi 500 came in three version, the mono-sit, two-sit and Trialce. the Trialce version was able to carry a cargo of 500kg and sometime even use to carry a 20mm AA gun (actually not a joke)

 

 

the maximum speed of the motor bike is of 73km/h wich is not that much good and that is without the armament. i suppose that the top speed probably drop to about 50km/h with the weight of the armament. still the speed allow the Moto Guzzi 500 TriAlce to have a decent mobility in the battle. the small size and pretty interresting armament will make that little fallow a real troll in the battle feild. the gunner stand alone in the rear of the Moto Guzzi 500 TriAlce and operate the 20mm gun all by himself which will reduce a lot the reload speed and the only other crew is the driver. both crew member are totally exposed which make the vehicles extremely easy to kill. i think this would be a absolute rank 1 SPAA.

this is small, funny looking, decently armed, have enough crew, can do some kill, can be kill, have a decent mobility, was historically used. i see no reason not to add it and it would be fun to play.

Not so much mobility. With the 20mm it was slow... Better solutions for that armament on armored cars or trucks

it was probably around 50km/h. not that slow, especially if you see those milk-truck with the 45km/h, also this one can shot nearly all around with the nearly complete rotation and elevation. only a little part will be reduced by limited by the drive. while there is other truck such as the pug truck who had the same armament, nothing is as awesome as that little thing. believe me, this is a most and one of the thing that would make the Italian ground forces a pleasure to play.

 

that thing is completely fit and have his place in the game.

even Belgium had studied this possibility of putting a Dca on a motorcycle

there are two different vehicles the one with 20mm is called Moto Guzzi 600U Breda (Moto Guzzi 600U with Breda 20/65 modello mod.1941) and one with 8mm breda m37 called Moto Guzzi 500 TriAlce (Moto Guzzi 500 Trialce with 8mm (7.92 mm) Breda M37 back mount) you can see the deference on the wheels. also the 8mm was used as a anti air gun
