Villers-Bretonneux - The first tank on tank battle ever event!

Hello!

 

Today I want to present to you a new event idea I have. With the game becoming so complex in tank technology, from legendary WW2 tanks to legendary modern tanks, we should have an event to commemorate the first tank vs tank battle of all time, and go back to where it all started!

 

Villers-Bretonneux - the small French town in which the first tank-on-tank battle ever took place, between a British "Tank Mk IV" and Germany's "A7V" tank!

 

The story

"Three German A7Vs engaged three British Mk IV tanks, two of which were female tanks armed only with machine-guns. The two Mark IV females were damaged and forced to withdraw but the make tank, armed with 6-pounder guns, hit and disabled the lead A7V, which was then abandoned by its crew. The Mark IV continued to fire on the two remaining German A7Vs, which withdrew. The "male" then advanced with the support of several Whippet Light tanks which had arrived, until disabled by artillery fire and abandoned by the crew."

 

My idea for this event is simple:

-Make a small town similar to Villers-Bretonneux.

-The event will be under events in the tournaments tab.

-Two teams: Britain with the Tank Mk IV and Germany with the A7V.

-Gain 10 victories while playing in this event and you get to keep the Tank Mk IV and A7V!

I just love this idea. It would be awsome to see A7V and MK.IV(male) in game. 

 

But it would take much work from the dev team to pull it off and i srsly doubt they would dedicate resource to it.

Myself and many others have been crying for WW1 tanks since 2016 :/

So naturally I agree with this with overwhelming force!

 

I never thought to make the battle an event to add these vehicles so cudos there, that'd make an amazing event and an amazing way to give the community these tanks (granted they'd be 1.0/reserve.

 

But a step back instead of forward would make for such a change of pace.

I reckon people would love it if they gave it a shot (which the event would offer)

 

Just a shame we have missed the 100th anniversary for the Start, End and First use of tanks in WW1

Would have made sense, but Gaijin are never on the ball for events other than April Fools.

The event seems to be very interesting. The game needs better events. The community has good ideas to offer.
