MZVR006 17 Report post Posted May 25, 2019 As you can see the T-72M2 is bulgarian and the T-72M4 is czech right? However sources beside Wikipedia says the Czech made and design T-72M2. http://tanknutdave.com/the-t72m2-moderna-tank/ http://www.military-today.com/tanks/t72m2_moderna.htm These link all point that the Czech made the T-72M2 yet again Wikipedia on the equipment of the Bulgarian Army have 210 T-72A/M2, Saying it a Indigenous tank design based on the T-72M1. So who design the T-72M2, Bulgaria or Czechoslovakia?
Coldsocks 49 Report post Posted May 25, 2019 I think they are both right - M2 in czech T72M2 is just model number( like pz 1, pz 2, pz 3, ....), then there was T72M3 and after that m4

Coldsocks 49 Report post Posted May 25, 2019 Just now, MZVR006 said: So does that mean Bulgaria and Czechoslovakia jointly design and build T-72M2? No, they are different tanks just with same names. Both czech and bulgarian are based on T72M1 so they just named their upgraded version T72M2.

Other Slovak people from our squadron also positively or neutraly. But Czech part of our squadron would be rather when their T-72 variants would be part of the German TT.
