Ground tank battle & using the planes

Hello,

 

Stupid question and I searched first, and looked through options, but must have not found the right setting.

 

In ground battles, I press 7 for the plane with guns, that is an easy one.
Press 8 for another plane which I am not sure what it does, but appears to have more guns.
Press 9 for what appears to be a bomber, but while I see the reticle, I cannot figure out how to actually drop the bombs (if that is what they are)

In Arcade Tank Battles, you can choose to spawn into 3 types of aircrafts when you damage/destroy enough targets.

 

7 will be Fighters, they're usually only equipped with machine guns and small caliber cannons (20mm guns).  These are only good against other aircraft or unarmored targets for the most part.

 

8 will be for Attackers, which usually have some rockets, some smaller bombs or even both depending on which plane you get.  You'll press Space Bar to release bombs and I think 4 will launch rockets.

 

9 will be for Bombers, which usually carries a serious bomb load that's good against any ground target provided you land a good drop, because keep in mind that bombs have a long fuse delay of 10 seconds or so before they go off, so you'll have to drop either ahead of a tank, or drop it near an unsuspecting tank.  Again, you'll want to press Space Bar to release bombs.

 

Then it's also possible to spawn into Helicopters once you get to the higher Ranks, but I haven't played that mode since they added Helicopters, so I'm not sure how you would spawn in those.

From my experience in high-tier Arcade tank battles (which was some months ago), it's basically like this:

Either you can spawn in planes or in helicopters in a match - it's pre-determined and once you see the plane icons, everyone for this match can only take planes, and vice-versa for helicopters. You won't see both.

 

If someone has a more up-to-date info on this, you're welcome to correct this
