Hello everyone! Today I would like to present the North American F-100F Super Sabre, operated by the ROCAF, a two seat combat trainer based on the F-100D.

History:

The North American F-100F was the final variant of the F-100 Super Sabre series, a two-seat tandem combat trainer variant based on the F-100D. It retained all of its combat capabilities, with the reduction of two cannons. Due to the battle between the PLAAF and ROCAF in the 2nd Taiwan Strait crisis, the United States decided to provide the ROCAF with 10 F-100F Super Sabres in October 1958, mere weeks after the end of the crisis. The F-100F would be the first aircraft in the ROCAF inventory capable of supersonic flight. In 1959, another 4 F-100F's were provided to the ROCAF, along with the first 15 F-100A's. All 14 F-100F's were assigned to the 4th Tactical Fighter Wing. Through out their service, the F-100A & F's would receive AIM-9B and P variants of the Sidewinder. With the introduction of F-5's to the 4th Tactical Fighter wing, remaining F-100A's and F's were transferred to the 2nd Tactical Fighter Wing in 1979. The F-100F's service career in the ROCAF was relatively uneventful, and the type was retired alongside the F-100A in 1984.

In-Game:

The F-100F, alongside the F-100A previously passed to consideration, would be a nice entry level jet for the ROCAF being the direct counterpart to the PLAAF J-6's. The F-100F would generally be the same as a US F-100F with the exception of a lack of multiple ejector racks for the inboard pylons. Compared to the ROCAF F-100A, the F-100F has more hardpoints, and thus is a better choice for ground forces RB compared to both its single-seat counterpart, and the PLAAF J-6's. Though it should be mentioned it doesnt appear the ROCAF F-100F's were given the Bullpup control devices, thus the F-100A would have AGM-12B's while the F-100F wouldn't. It could also serve as the ROCAF's first rank VI jet if it is introduced before the F-100A.

No offense, but I think I'm going to have to say no to this one. Mainly because it's just a copy+paste American plane, and there are enough of those in the Chinese tech tree. We already have the Chinese F-100A, so I don't see a reason for another one. For Chinese jets, it would be better if Gaijin added some unique Chinese built jets.

Updated:

Removed AIM-9G; outside of one Chinese website can't find anything about the ROCAF fielding this variant. Knowing more about AIM-9's now, it also makes zero sense to have a USN sidewinder with the USAF AERO-3 launchers. Therefore the only rear aspect missiles in ROCAF service was the AIM-9B & AIM-9P.

So you lose two cannons, but basically gain an "extra life" in the event of a cockpit snipe that kills one pilot but not the other (it's a trainer, so it has dual controls).  Sure, I can go for this.
