Mig-21SMTs Russian historical camouflage

Let's add historical Russian camouflage skin for Mig-21SMT in Russian TechTree.

Camouflages for Mig-21-SMT are well-known and well photographed and they certainly will make Mig-21SMT more attractive in the game.

And indeed almost all known to me photographs showing the operational Mig-21SMT depict aircraft in various camouflages. It's logical anyway. The Mig-21SMT served as a multirole strike fighter - was to operate from airfields near the frontline and was to attack ground targets (and other aircraft) while flying at low altitude, therefore camouflage was useful both during combat and when on frontline airfield.

@Gaijin, pls, don't tell us "you can download it for your own eyes", Mig-2SMT deserves its historical camouflage as visible in the game for everyone.

So we got SMT camo-skin together with "Viking Fury" chest. But...labeled as "fictional", so by default invisible to players during matches unless they have marked in the settings that they want to see "fictional" or "semi-historical" skins. By default only "historical" market skins are visible.

 

Camouflage visible to only one person is like an imaginary friend and has no function during gameplay. So let's not treat it as a solution to the suggestion, pls.

BTW - @Smin1080p, @Stona - why even waste limited (for some reason) space in the trophy chest for "fictional" skins while in 99% cases it's visible only for one user, so the same effect can be achieved by private download from WT Live??

BTW2 - this skin is more "historical" than a significant number of default skins in the game..yet marked as "fictional".

39 upvotes...quite a lot as for skin-suggestion, but still not passed to Devs and after more than half the year Mig-21SMT still without any historical camouflage

We have over 800 aircraft in game and that number is ever growing. Its impossible to give all of them all of the camos people want to see as everyone has their own preferences and wishlist's. 

 

MiG-21SMT already has 2 additional market skins in game whilst many others have none. 

 

I understand you wish to see some for this aircraft, however so do many others for lots of vehicles in game.

 

WT Live as you say has a huge variety of skins you can use exactly as you wish to see them in the meantime.

And many of the newcomers have some interesting historical skins to choose from - the Mig-21SMT stay naglected for the past eight months with generic "bare metal" skin...for some weird reason.

Sorry, but it feels like making jokes on those, who are committed to the topic of camouflages for Mig-21 family.

BTW - funny we get 3rd foreign skin for East German Mig-21MF (2 x Polish ones, now Hungarian one....while we are still without historical East German camouflage. Despite suggestion passed to Devs in April:
