Finnish Hawk Mk.66

Finland bought multiple variants of BAE Hawks, best of them being the Mk.66. Earlier versions of Hawk that we used were bought during cold war as trainers, doing so we went thro a loophole since we were not allowed to have more than 60 fighter aircraft, due to the treaty with Soviet Union. But we used them as fighters too, but they were just marked as trainer aircraft.

BAE Hawk Mk.66 is a very capable aircraft, even tho mainly used as trainer aircraft it can still be armed with multitude of weaponry, like the R-60, AIM 9J and AIM 9M  Air to Air missiles. Finnish VKT 12.7mm gun pod/pods or British 30mm DEFA gun pod ,both 12.7mm and 30mm being under the main fuselage like in the Phantom II aircraft's, it also could use multitude of British General Purpose bombs like the Mk82 bombs, upto 8 of them but more usually only 4. It also could use 2x Matra Type 155 SNEB rocket pods.

BR should be around 9.7

Armament loadout possibilities..

Loadout options marked with * also have ability of using VKT 12.7mm or 30mm ADEN gun pod alongside the loadout.

Loadout options marked with ** means that you can use one of the 3 Air to Air missile types, i.e. 2x mk82 bomb + 2x ** means you can use any type of anti air missile on that loadout.

2x R-60 *

2x AIM 9J *

2x AIM 9M *

4x Mk82 bombs *

2x Matra Type 155 SNEB *

1x DEFA 30mm gun pod

1x VKT 12.7mm gun pod

2x Mk82 + 2x **

Matra Type 155 SNEB rockets, each pod would carry 18 rockets, in total the Finnish Hawk Mk.66 would carry two pods so 36 rockets.

Open For Discussion :salute:

On a technical note I believe the Hawks could only mount one underslung ADEN pod not 3 from my research not even the hawk 200 (dedicated combat version of the hawk) Could mount 3.

+1 for Sweden

Another thing to note is Finland also operate around 50 Mk.51 & 7 Mk.51A so you potentially make a line of Hawks for the Swedish

Well you could make a jet line starting with the Gnat FR.1 and moving into hawks.

Considering it's general flight performance and access to decent armament, this thing would probably perform quite well at 9.7. +1

Also, there are additional camo options in the Display team & 40th anniversary liveries:
