Fwd: Jul/05/2020 [1.97.2.19] ROC M36 Jackson Missing Roof Armor and Ammo

A lot of vehicles that were copied over from other trees to China's tank tree had a lot of features that were overlooked when they were moved over and I'd like to address one in this bug report today.

 

The Taiwanese M36 in the Chinese tank tree was supplied post war and should be the M36B2 model used by the US in the Korean war. This model featured an add on roof to protect the turret crew as well as having access to the same rounds used by the M46 (like the M36B1 in the Italian tree).

 

Solution: Add the missing roof armor to the tank and provide it with the additional ammo that was available to it in real life.

 

I have no concrete data for the add on roof armor specifically but here are some photographs of the armor and it can likely be assumed that the roof armor is identical in performance to the other parts of the roof (9.5mm-25.4mm):

Since both M36B2 & M46 have the same gun with the same munitions during Korean War, it should have access to the same HEAT and APCR shells utilized by the M46 in game.

TM 9-718 - Medium Tanks M46 and M46A1:

 

Conclusion: The M36 in the Chinese tank tree should be the more modern variant used in the Korean war and have access to the same ammunition, much like the italian M36B1, and the additional add on roof armor.
