Deathskyz 69 Report post Posted June 1, 2021 Whilst reading up on the Merkava's, I came across a book Merkava: A History of Israel’s Main Battle Tank Der Kampfpanzer der Israelischen Armee by Marsh Gelbart (ISBN: 3-936519-01-3). In it, the author writes that the Merkava 3s got an improved gunner thermal sight compared to the earlier Merkava Mk 2 (2B/2C/2D). My attention was drawn when he wrote that there were thermal imagers for the Gunner and Commander. However, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information regarding the Baz / Dor-Dalet upgrades to the Merkava Mk 3, and most articles mostly cover on the initial Merkava Mk 3s only. Does anyone know if these Baz FCS upgrades warrant Gen 2 Gunner Thermals and/or CITV as well? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
