Introduction:

Spoiler

There isn't much available information on this unique conversion but it is believed after the Italian armistice in September 1943 a single example of the 37mm M1939 Breda anti-aircraft gun was mounted aboard a Wehrmacht Einheitsidesel truck. The Einheitsidesel or "Standard Diesel" was a common truck in service with the German Army for logistic services. The rear awning of the truck was removed with foldable sides allowing for ammunition to be handled and for crew members to be deployed. It appears based on other photos of the vehicle that the font cab could be temporarily lifted on/off the truck to allow the gun to traverse fully when in action. Ammunition would be stored around the base of the gun mount and a crew of at least 4-5 men appears to be present. It is unknown what later happened to this vehicle though the photo above suggests it may have been used in testing at some point in time.

Hi Ghost, the FC.20 bis uses the 37mm Breda APHE round in an air-modified configuration with about 49mm of penetration, perhaps the land version could get an extra 5mm of pen so maybe 53-54mm of penetration which is nothing out of the ordinary.
