Battleships Roma, class Littorio (Varus 9 June 1940)

Introduction:

Roma was a battleship of the Regia Marina, the third and last unit of the Littorio class, sometimes also referred to as Vittorio Veneto class, which represented the best of Italian naval war production of World War II. Built by Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico and delivered to the Regia Marina on 14 June 1942 (Entry into service).

Service History:

After Italy's unconditional surrender to the Allies, the Roma was ordered, along with other warships, to the Sardinian island of La Maddalena, as agreed with the Allies. The Italian naval squadron, however, was attacked by German bombers using Ruhrstahl SD 1400 radio-controlled gliding bombs. The first attack failed, but the second inflicted heavy damage on the Roma, but did not sink her. The third attack hit the ship, the bomb exploded inside the forward engine room, causing catastrophic flooding and the explosion of the number two turret magazines. Sinking forward and tilting to starboard, the Roma capsized and broke in two, taking 1,393 men with her. The battleship sank on 9 September 1943.

In her fifteen months of service, Roma travelled 2,492 miles in twenty outings at sea, without participating in any naval clashes, consuming 3,320 tonnes of fuel and being out of service for repairs for 63 days.

On 28 June 2012, after decades of searching, the wreck of the battleship was found at a depth of 1,000 metres and 16 miles off the coast in the Gulf of Asinara.

Hasn't it already been suggested?

Maybe becasue that is all its class and 1942, while this suggestion is only Roma and 1940. There could me multiple suggestion about one ship if modification is different, or specify one ship among class.

Yeah, but what is the difference between 1940 and 1942 versions? Only Radar?

PS I am actually for all ships of the class :D

+1 we need to add more BBs to the italian TT, just jump to this one and add the others between this and dante alighieri afterwards since the ratio of ships added to italy is basically 1:3/1:4 for every class of ships in the other existing TTs

i would agree as premium vehicle pack for this.

Only Littorio is tech tree

Imo, especially considering Gaijin's descision to implement unfinished ships, Italy should get 3 sisterships in the regular tree.

The differences between the Roma 1940 and 1942 battleships are minimal, in fact the Roma 1942 is different from the 1940 because it had some minor improvements made to it, including additional freeboard at the bow.

Perhaps the developers should be told to add this as well:

Because they are the same ship, the only difference between the 1940 and the 1942 is that the 1942 is slightly improved, but in a very slight way.
