Welcome to my first suggestion, the Marder 1A3 with AMAP-ADS!

General info:

With the maturing of APS systems for armored vehicles Rheinmetall developed under the daughter company ADS Gesellschaft für aktive Schutzsysteme the AMAP-ADS. With the system ready for testing Rheinmetall preformed tests with the  Marder 1A3 as a test platform. Unlike Trophy or Iron Fist the AMAP-ADS is modular, light wight, has no moving parts that allows it to stop threats going 1700m/s+, can soft-kill and causes less collateral damage than a system that stops a threat with fragments, it also is more comparable to ERA because the charges only protect a cetane area on the vehicle. All of this allows the system to be mounted on anything form an armored car up to a tank. It has also a very low electronic emission thanks to the use of mainly optical sensors.

Marder 1A3:

The vehicle used for testing is basically the same as the one already in the game. The Marder was produced from 1969–1975 and has a engine that produces 591 hp. This gives it the ability to go 65 km/h (40 mph) forward and the same in reverse even with the wight of 35,000 kg. The armor is able to stop 30mm rounds and small fragments. It is armed with a 20mm autocannon with 800 RPM and 1200 rounds of ammunition. Against heavy armor it has four Milan missile with 530mm of penetration against flat armor. It also has thermals for the gunner and a laser rangefinder. The crew consists of three people the driver, gunner and commander. The only things that are different is that the storage racks on the outside have been taken off, it received a large bumper in the front, has no headlights and got a APS (Link for more information on the vehicle: https://wiki.warthunder.com/Marder_1A3).

AMAP-ADS:

The system its self consists out of three main components: the pre-warning sensor, the electro-optical sensor and the countermeasure. These parts can be added around the vehicle to give 360 degrees of protection and allow a fast reaction time of 560μs (microseconds), compared to the Trophy and Iron Fists 350ms (milliseconds) reaction time. The wight of the system goes from 140kg to 500kg. It was tested by multiple nations like the USA and on many vehicles like the MBT "Technologieträger", Boxer, SEP, Fuchs and the CV90. It has also the option to reduce the kill zone so that an intercept doesn't activate the system nearby from another vehicle.

The system on the Marder gives full 360 degrees of protection against threats that have speeds up to around 1700m/s like missiles, rockets and APFSDS. It can also soft kill missiles. The engagement range is 1,5 m with a minimum range of 10 meters. For this it equipped with 29 electro-optical sensors, 12 pre-warning sensors and 40 countermeasures (if you have a verified number please tell me so I can change them). The system is also very redundant withe one charge being cupeled to two sensors. It also gives it high survivability in a multi hit scenario unlike Trophy or Iron Fist.

After being hit by two RPG7s.

AMAP-ADS engagement:

  1. The pre-warning sensors detect and classify the threat, it will try to soft-kill the threat.
  2. The electro-optical sensors will sensors the threat and help to give the optimal interception solution.
  3. The countermeasure will activate and stop the threat.

Conclusion:

Marder 1A3 with AMAP-ADS is well protected against fast threats like missiles and APFSDS thanks the AMAP-ADS, it is also hard to break its APS due to its redundancy thanks to the multitude of sensors, they also give a high survivability in a multi hit scenario. Even after using a countermeasure it still has the soft-kill system to try and protect it. It also looks cool. But it didn't receive additional armor that could protect it against autocannons or splinters. The hard kill part of the APS can be easily overcome due to it leaving a gap in its defective ring once a charge is used similar to ERA and unlike Trophy or Iron Fist that can stop threats hitting the same position multiple times. It also has slightly less acceleration due to the higher wight.

A stand alone vehicle after the in-game Marder 1A3. It is too different from the normal version and if it was a modification the normal one would need to be at a higher BR and until you have researched it it won't be fun. Is something missing?

Before I open this for discussion are you requesting this as a modification or a stand alone vehicle?

Nope nothing is missing no worries, I think you could add information about the vehicle even though its already in game. It would be nice to have some information listed (stats etc)
