Antimech reward question

just got first place on my team by dropping 12.9 tons and destroying 4 bases, got 3 crits and a kill with my tail gunner, got shot down once, lost the animatech (?) award to a guy on the other team who dropped 4.9 tons on bases, had no crits and no kills. WTF? Tell me something isn't wrong. I love blatant lies.

Antimech/Thunderer is for AI ground targets; Medium Tanks, Armoured Cars, Pillboxes etc.

I've been playing long enough to know how the points are SUPPOSED to be awarded. So no one has helped me understand so far.

You were never going to get the Antimech award for bombing bases, it's not what that award is for. The opposing player you "lost" the award to must have also destroyed ground targets in the middle of the map.

Maybe he killed an airfield AA by accident. But bombing gives no other awards as the rewards.

Check the scorebord of the replay again. When he only dropped 4 tons on bases he might have dropped much more on Groundtargets.

There is a sliding scale of points based on the players BR. My guess is that your opponent was in a lower BR bomber than you so he was awarded more points due to his lower BR. Unfortunately you have no control of this situation as it is totally controlled by the games Match Making.

As others have already said, the Antimech reward is based on killing the most AI units in the game, up to 17 Past 18, you'd get Thunderer.

I was referring to his part, which holds true whether it's event or regular game... :

 

"For reference here are the rank bonuses to offset the hitpoint differential on base destruction. Multiply this by the number above to get your primary bomber's competitive advantage for score based events in air AB:

Rank 3: x1.4

Rank 6: x0.65

So an Ar-2 is a rank 1 2.7, so it's advantage in a match of the same BR is 2.5*1=2.5, rising to 2.5*1.25=3.1 in a full uptier (assuming it reaches the base of course).

 

Whereas a Pe-8 is a 4.3 rank 3, so its advantage is 1.4*1.25=1.75 at the same BR, rising to 2.1 in an uptier, about 35% less score for base bombing in AB, all other things being equal."

 

If you want to purely make score through bombing bases, a tier 1 bomber will provide the relative best score.

I'm confused, it's about the antimech award in normal game play, not an event.

OP only bombed bases and thought he'd get antimech (which is only awarded for up to 17 ground targets destroyed..) and then he wondered why he got less score than somebody who also only bombed bases, but roughly only a bit over a third of the explosives he dropped.... that's what that table explains... scores for bombing bases... that has nothing to do with events (and I cba to find it on the update notes, so I just linked that post)

 

If you don't get it now I don't know what to do....

This thread still going on? Geez you base humpers aren't getting rewarded enough ? Arcade is is a bad enough state without base humpers complaining they don't get rewarded more than they already do . Jeez
