August 1944 the Ordinance Corps used 15 T1E1's to build a newer variant designated the M6A2E1 which had thicker frontal armor and turret while housing the T5E1 105 mm gun. This new variant weighed in at 77 tons. Even though this new design was rejected by Eisenhower the heavy tank production was not stopped there, this lead eventually to the M26 Pershing.

 

The M6 series including the variants were never approved for mass-production and never left America.

Its ok, there is just M6s, M26 heavy variants, and the M103 that are US heavies in the timeline.

Lol, I kinda see it too. Engine deck can be the seat and the turret can be the water tank.
