It is true that a major problem is that it sometimes gets outclimbed. That, and other qualities of the plane suggests you stay in the second line, let some other planes engage people below 2000 m and BnZ them.

I agree that compared to yaks it is not as good, but I find them, especially the 2.3 RB one quite fun if played correctly. Luck also matters so dont give up if it goes wrong. I just played a very successful match 40 mins ago and this is how it went. I took off climbed to 2800 m and kept flying straight behind the first line of fighters. I headoned a A6M2N but missed the shots and went into a dive. He turned but couldnt keep up with me and got rekt by a teammate shortly after. I engaged a ki 84 II and managed to score some hits, but then retreated because I risked entering a turnfight. Just after that I saw a p 38 closing in from pretty much the same alt, we headoned and while we dodged most of the shots at each other I set on fire his right engine which killed him shortly after. I spent a while doing nothing because the three remaining enemies were camping behind the airfield. After about 4 mins I saw a b 34 and a p 39 heading towards our side together, quickly climbed the 600 m of alt that separated use and went for a headon since that was the only option. Surprisingly they aimed so bad that I managed to take out both in a single pass, without even getting any serious damage from them. Then I accidentally hit the burning b 34 wreck and got my engine bonked, didnt make it to the airfield but to the cornfield, but hey, the plane is on the ground and the pilot's alive, a successful landing!

To sum up, not really skill or great plane, just being in the right place at the right moment. You shouldn't expect flows of money from this thing, but I got 9000 sl from higher br kills. Just BnZ when you dont risk getting BnZed as well
