The biggest problem

Sorry, I usually am up for chat banter.  Grinding war bonds.  Got the KV-1B, now going for the decal.

It was the game that I led off with a TBF with a torpedo.  I'm up to 918/3000 for 'Sea Dog' !

Yup. Couldn't get out to you to cover unfortunately. Got caught up with chasing a p-47 in a Pe-3. Seemed like the thing to do at the time.

To respond to the first post of this thread about camping out over a spawn area and shooting down blind newbees: It's called game wrecking and WT should fix the problem or problem people. It is that simple.

I'm posting here to complain about prizes.  Yes, I know huh?

Would like a trash can to dump unwanted prizes in.

I'm new, have almost no time and then I get a prize for a 30% discount on a PBY. Wow, that's cool right?  Wrong, sounds nice but the problem is it's only good for a day!  Like here kid, this is your prize, oh..but I see you haven't got any research done on the first plane...Oh well...too bad: Guess that screws you out of your daily prize huh?   Good lord are you joking?  The discount is good for day?  Like you could just suddenly spend the next 24 hours playing round the clock just to get that precious 30% discount huh?  That's not a prize, it's an irritation, that's what it is.

Who's thinking this stuff up?  Why would think to put a time limit a prize discount which is completely unrealistic?  You could reasonably put a time limit on the discount once that player achieved the previous level aircraft. That might make sense. At least it would make more sense.

I also have a bunch of gambling thingy's which bother me a lot. I don't gamble, don't understand the prize at all, don't want to understand them, and I don't care about them. I don't want them. I would like some way to dispose of them so that they aren't clogging up the screen.  Just having them bothers me intensely.  I've even considered uninstalling; well actually I did once already but I like the game very much as well. Can't someone do something like add a trash can for unwanted prizes?  These are not prizes to people like me. All I see is where I could lose planes, crews, and silver lions. At least give us a trash can so I can get rid of what I don't want.

Finally another prize problem; today I get another so called prize where I get to test drive a plane, but this plane will cost me 10,000 silver lions for a test drive for one hour, and yet again this is my daily prize...the chance to spend  166 silver lions a minute is a prize huh?  This on a plane I didn't even get to choose.  This is a prize?  Excuse me, but have you got former auto salesmen working for you or what because those aren't prizes.

A prize is something which doesn't cost you anything. OK? We clear on what a prize is?  If you can't bring yourselves to give someone the opportunity to test fly a plane without charging them do so, then at least stop calling it a prize because that's not a prize, it's a rental;  I can go to the airport and do the same thing and amazingly there too it's called renting an aircraft.

My final complaint is about French planes that are evidently bullet proofed, fly up to 200 kph faster than their specs, instantly shoot down planes while remaining completely unscathed despite being pounded.

I should add that for what it sounds like one might wonder why I'm even here. Well I like the game very much. It's a superior game that's well run on the whole. These are my observations and criticisms that I offer up, and mainly because they really bother me, and if they bother me then I'm sure they bother others. I hope these criticisms are seen for their honesty and not as just plain complaining. Well maybe the French Planes is just complaining...but I don't know...seem like they have a new kind of fabric made of kevlar if you ask me.

@Accretion

Don't sweat the prizes..they are given for nothing and cost you nothing to not use them.

Some, as you progress in the game, are very useful indeed (boosters, wagers, back-ups & talismans + silver lions (ultimately not as useful when you've been playing enough to have millions banked)).

Even test drives and some orders have their uses which you'll discover if you play long enough and have a need to use them. If not, no biggie.

As for French planes..i haven't been playing planes much but it's kind of traditional to make the latest tech tree release ridiculously OP to entice ppl to play them. Just treat it as a test of skill when you encounter them. If you can beat the best, you'll have no worries about the rest.

Also..as French planes are a new thing, there are a lot more experienced players flying them at low tiers. This will be kind of temporary as players move up through the tech tree.

When your opponent slows down you have some options. To slow down with him, or loop around.

Gear down is the easiest way for me to slow and try to remain behind my target.

You might consider that you are now more vulnerable to a red plane in the vicinity.

I've done it to make an enemy overshoot but not like you are. Although I am more of a BnZ player this could come in handy. See, you did teach me something! Can you ever have your landing gear ripped off from too much speed though? Not that I can actually use them anyway.

I don't think gear rip off in AB, but the gear definitely shear off in RB.

So to slow down in RB maybe the flaps, not sure.

What about pulling your shot? Does the drag cause your shot to pull off target?

Find my other most recent vid, Yak missing half the right wing shooting down a P-38.

I dont believe gear down affects shooting. The whole idea about how to best slow down in a dogfight is something a better player than I should address.

I'm not saying I'm a better player, but it really is situational. I do my best to engage in a rolling scissor so that I don't have to slow down too much. However, you will certainly have to use extraordinary means sometimes to shed speed in order to maintain position. I will use any combination of combat / landing flaps, airbreak, etc. to make darned sure I am not the one that slips out front.

Funny, I have a French 2.0 lineup and have exactly the opposite opinion about French aircraft. I find them slow (I'm caught from behind all the time and shot down). I find the machine guns underpowered (I have to sit behind whatever aircraft I'm stalking and literally riddle them with rounds before they go down, if they even go down and if they don't, they shoot me down). Half of my lineup lacks combat flaps (so turn-fighting isn't recommended and when I try it, I get shot down). Let me see...what else...oh yeah, they are goofy looking fighters (I know this is subjective, but a "classic look" these aircraft do not have and I understand why others shoot me down when I fly them). Needless to say, I don't fly my French lineup often (unless I want to get shot down). Cheers!!

I use to be one of those "omg hax kys camper" guys.   Now I get along with most of them.  I rarely spawn camp and stick to my own style but a lot can be learned from a player like PARAMI if you quit hating.

No one is asking for guidance because you're a spawn camper. Anyone can spawn camp and get kills, it's just most people have more class and a better sense of skill than that. Your praising yourself for basically exploiting game mechanics doesn't make you a good player. Quite the opposite actually as it only shows your "skill" is based on exploiting flawed mechanics and not actually beating your opponent.

Go tell that to the Naval RB crying that can't range memorize anymore with the FTC update.
