Discussion about coming Ground vehicles matchmaking system changes

BR changes and tank matchmaking system rework:

• All ground vehicles’ Battle Ratings have been adjusted to better match aircraft BRs and reduce the waiting times;

• Maximum gap between the lowest and the highest ranked vehicles in a battle increased from 0.7 to 1.0 BR; now the rule of maximum 1.0 BR spread applies to all modes;

Basically it means that all ground vehicles BR will be increased by an average of 1.0 BR and combined with the minimal increase in possible gap between the lowest and the highest ranked vehicles in the battle, it will cause the number of matchmaking brackets to go down from 20 to 10. In majority of cases you will not notice any difference in the BR of vehicles you encounter, but the waiting time will go down significantly, especially for rank 4 and 5 tanks and tank destroyers. These changes will not affect the lowest matchmaking bracket though.

 

For instance, the highest ranked German vehicle the ZIS-30 could meet in the old system was the StuG III Ausf.A. Now the ZIS-30 can encounter enemies up to BR 3.7 i.e. Pz. III Ausf.M (still an easy target for its outstanding gun).

 

Note that some vehicles had their BR increased by as low as 0.3 (which translates into a -0.7 decrease in BR in the old system), while others had their BR increased by up to 1.3 (which translates into actual -0.7 decrease).

All vehciles of this rank went down by approximately 1.0. So Sherman will encounter approximately the same enemies in battles. Some of the higher BR, some of the lower. But it should not affect its performance too much

Remember, Whitebada said that if it gets more than 1.0 BR increase, it means it's 0.7 decrease because they are making all BR of tanks to be same as aircraft BR which it allows it to be easier to have lower que time to get in a match.,

KV/ IS battle ratings are a little confusing to me.

If were talking going at a speed up the servers stand point ok whatever but IS1 and KV85 with the same rating? the stopgap and the finished piece are not quite the same on the battle field imo
