I would like to suggest an an impresive armored car from Germany. the Radkampfwagen 90

attachment.php?attachmentid=98041&d=1472

the Radkampfwagen 90 also know as the Radpanzer 90, is a development of 1986 made by daimler-Benz company on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Defense. the objective of the development was to introduce the Radpanzer 90 into the reconnaissance unites in western germany with the good mobility performance Spähpanzer Luchs and the firepower of the MBT. the Radkampfwagen 90 mounted with a Leopard 1A3 turret on a highly mobile wheeled chassis. the result meet every expectation giving the Radpanzer the ability to perform reconnaissance mission as well as supporting the armored units.

despite to be a real god vehicles, the Radkampfwagen 90 was never produced due to the high cost of the armored car. the Federal Ministry of Defense choose to produced tracked vehicles to play the same role. the only prototype built is currently in Koblenz tank museum

the armament of the Radkampfwagen 90 is a 105mm L7a3 gun (not 90mm gun) and is powered by a Daimler-Benz OM400 series water-cooled, turbo-charged diesel engine of 830hp. the Radpanzer 90 weight 30 tons and can reach a top speed of 100km/h on road.

would be a nice addition on high tier, but only if the other nations get something similar like LAV, Saladin

at this rank it would be

AMX 10RC

AMX 10RCR

AMX 10RCR Separ

Object 1200

Gaz-50

2S14 Zhalo-S

LAV-300 Tow

LAV-600

TH-400 Mit 105

TH-400 Mit 120

those armored car have similar performance. but the Saladin is not that good. i will try to find a good alternative for the british in that rank

Here is an entire list of armored car that was suggested in this website. there is some for any nation and it propose to fit them in a research line on their for all nation except japan who do not have much good armored car. adding armored care there and there from time to time will eventually allow the creation of an new research line for some of those nation. many armored car are variant that could be added all togehter such as the Panhard ERB for france.

it will offer new tactics for the player to have armored car to the game, they are usually faster than tank even offroad where it can often get around 40km/h. but they are usually lightly armed and armored. they will need to be in a skilled hand to perform well. they will be perfect for flank. the M18 and Ru-251 willn't be the only fast tank of the game anymore.

Its not a 1A3 turret, but a Keiler turret-note the shape of the mantlet-and AFAIK it was only put on as a weight simulator,

to demonstrate that the platform COULD carry such a heavy turret and weapon.

In other words-it doesn´t work.Which is also why you never see this vehicle with the turret in anything but 12´o clock position-it doesnt actually turn.

Will be going to Koblenz sometime in August,so i can probably confirm this when i go there (the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung is the museum that has this vehicle in its possession).

edit:

and for comparisions-

Keiler:

Daimler-Benz-8x8-demonstrator.jpg

Here´s another picture of the EXF 8x8,btw-with a weight simulator. The knowledge gained from building and testing the vehicle was apparently reused in the GTK Boxer,by the way.

Also, going by the pictures of the information table in Koblenz,it was "prepared for taking a rotating turret" (though,as already stated above-wether the one they put on in this case actually worked is questionable)

Another thing to take from Koblenz´ information table-it can climb a 60% slope, and (with concrete turret simulator,as seen above) weighed 30780 Kg (bit hard to tell for that one, could also be 30760).

Engine is the OM440 LA.

Will take a closer look when i go to Koblenz.

German tree definitely need this tank.
IMHO, it will be placed right after the Begleitpanzer 57.

i am hoping to see a entire line for the light tank/wheeled tank. we could call it the Reconnaissance path. that would allow the introduction of many vehicles such as the Leopard light tank VK.something. and move the puma into a line where it would make better sense. there is a lot of armored car who was often use in support and reconnaissance. the German can easily fill it. also the British could enjoy it. they now have some armored car, they can make a entire line too and mixing them with light tank such as the warrior.
