I don't see why base model T-54 would be needed. It would be at the same BR as Leopard 1. The AMT would be nice to have but Jung Jungenthal? I dunno

If the t54/t55/type59/type69 is the most common tank in world history, what's the harm in giving them the Sherman treatment?

The fact that German 7.3 is already quite expansive and doesn't need copy paste for buffer?

If DDR vehicles are getting added, might as well make them actually worthwhile.

And 7.3 Germany can't and shouldn't become even better then?

I don't quite see where I made such claim. I simply replied to your previous question.

I also wouldn't call adding copy/paste to one of the lead trees in the game "better".
Germany has a plethora of vehicles that could substitute a T-54/55, yet still retain the German authenticity. If DDR vehicles are so sought after, then the aforementioned AMT and Jungenthal would be a much better addition over any T-55 the Russians could just as easily receive, because they actual German modifications.

Retain German authenticity? Like all the m48s?

The M48A2C isn’t present in any other tree, though it is still a foreign vehicle.

The other two variants of the M48 present in the German tree are German modifications.
This would make only one of the M48’s a non-German product.

So yes, I’d consider that German authenticity.

So the Germans have two unique m48s? They can have their mod of the t54 to midlife t54 spec. That's unique. Then they have a non-unique m48. Why not just a non-unique t54/55?

I never said they can’t, I said it’d be redundant.

And indeed, I agree that they can have their mod. That’s what I’ve been saying all this time. I’m simply saying the copy paste is unnecessary.

Why a copy paste T-55 rather than one of those? Or hell, why rather a copy paste T-55 than another Leopard 1. There’s plenty of those that could still be added around the same BR.

I don’t get why copy paste is so sought after for Germany, most people try to stay away from it as much as possible.

The M48A2C could have been more unique though.
