Even when you do well, it is hardly worth playing

Finally getting back into the game and it doesn't seem the rewards for successful missions are all that great.  I'm typically cannon fodder but the three games below represent my best games after about 3 weeks of inconsistent playing.  I know those of you with 15 kill streaks that consistently make 1st place are going to laugh but why should a "filthy casual" play at all if the rewards are garbage?  Keep in mind the costs of ammo, upgrades and advancing.

I have noticed this as well, there was a small update a few days ago and suddenly my rewards were extremely poor, even with premium. I am not saying that there is a conspiracy going on, but rewards definitely got nerfed.

There was no changes in rewards.

You can change previous updates. If there would be change in economy, we would list it there.

no disrespect meant but 2 air kills and 9 ground isnt a good battle. second battle you did a bit better and you unlocked a third of the vehicle you were researching. seems about right to me.

I know but that's about the best I can do without making Warthunder a 10 hour a day job which seems to be the type of player the game is geared for.

I thought there was an update a while ago where repair costs were reduced but overall earning potential was also reduced?

Yes, the reward % for winning was reduced and the % for losing was increased.  If you mean that particular update.

nah mate you can do a lot better, those are super rookie numbers and can and should be higher just to be an average performance. firstly i recommend dont go after ground targets in fighters, fighters dont earn maximum rp for ground kills (thats for strike aircraft and bombers). in fighters which your line-up mostly is you need to focus on air kills to get max rp in them and you want at least 1 kill for every death and should me aiming for 5 kill minimum to be at least approaching average.  I promise im not trying to put you down but give you an idea of what results you should be seeing before expecting adequate rp and if no oine tells you then you just wont get better. an hour or 2 a day and focusing on the right objectives as well as focusing on staying alive will see a big increase in RP for you.

Seriously, this is tier 1 and 2 you are playing. A single game SL-reward will pay for several of the planes you are researching. Later on in higher tiers, you will need many games to pay for one plane.

In case you are concerned about RP: With a BR 2.0 plane in a very good game, with talisman and premium, I do average around 5000 RP in arcade. So your results seem just normal.

I purposefully downtiered my planes since playing at higher tiers (BR 5.0 and above) wasn't getting me anywhere.  I thought there was an RP bonus if you got all the planes in a row but I may be mistaken.

The ground targets were due to the two passes I was able to do with the A-20 before it was shot down.  Usually I only get one.  I don't remember the Air to Air kills.  I understand your advice but the current BR mismatches are making things very difficult.  I was in a match with multiple BR3.7 planes when my highest was BR2.3.  What I'm trying to demonstrate is that the game works against new and casual players.

Its just there is a learning curve. You will struggle and then with some focus will get easier. Br doesn't matter so much if you set yourself up properly and play smart with what you got. For me when I was starting out the big shift was when I stopped rushing in and when I stopped focusing on getting the kill when I was in danger, surviving equals more kills. This means avoid heading and when you see tracers shooting bast don't ignore them just to finish one plane.

Don't rush in, hang back a bit and watch from the edges looking for people who stay from the blob and are focused on a target. Dive in on the plane get your kills and get out, don't get caught furballs or get blood thirsty and lose your positioning or situational awareness. The skills will come in time but set yourself up properly and take your time and the kills will come.

Also imo you should always have a bomber in your lineup. Climb, climb, climb (away from the battle if you must) then bomb a base, fly away and climb some more. Bombing bases prints money and rp.

Actually, you are getting an RP malus for researching a rank1 plane with a rank2 plane. You can see that on your screen. Most obvious on the one with the A-20 alone.

And I don't see how your results demonstrate that. The new plane costs 700 SL while you earned over 4000 SL in just one mission. And RP wise, you needed like 3-5 missions to research a new plane. So a new plane every hour. What more would a new free player expect? I don't even think there is a problem at the rank you played.

I'm not sure what RP malus but I should have been more clear. These 3 results are after dozens of games over 3 weeks.  My average is 300SL or less and even more paltry RP.  Factor in ammo, upgrades, training and the cost for new planes (which you have to buy to advance) I lose money.  Also "a new plane every hour" is total hogwash.  Maybe if you are in the top 5, have premium and use boosters for every game during that hour. Its taken nearly a week to earn that much RP for the B-18, then I have to buy it, train a crew and update it which wipes out my previous earnings.  Keep in mind that once I lose all my planes I stop playing while waiting for repair.  Usually I have to wait until the next day so I get far less than an hour a day in the game.

On your last screen, you lost 10% of the earned RP for researching a rank1 plane. (vehicle research is less than modification research)

In that case, you are simply not ready to progress. You need to learn to play this right.

I get the notion you are doing something really wrong. Your screens look OK and they would give you a new plane in about an hour. If you run out of planes, use your reserves, they are free and the M2 reserve is quite potent.

Stay in the BR 1.0-2.0 range until you are profitable there.

Joystick (without using it to its full advantage) + virtual Cockpit :dntknw:

Add in some not so good tactical decisions and as it seems a lack of damage knowledge and you are there.

i have an over 50% win rate , fly a lot of premium planes at BR 3.7-4.0 the vast majority of the time  and have an average placement in the top 2-3 of the team . I use a lot of SL to change warbonds tasks

so I am steadily losing SL . I was near 50 million and now I am at about 37 million

Its all designed to sell premium time  Gaijin is not a charity

BTW anyone saying killing higher tier planes when you are uptiered helps with rewards is slinging bovine fecal matter . I am uptiered all the GD time in Matchaking Thunder

Premiums still won't give you anything if you haven't done much in game....

No, what you have done is killing not much while getting killed to often.

Want to know more? Ok.

Because this is planes we leave out Ships and Tanks.

I got 21k Air battles (means respawns - the ones i used at the ships are most likely in here).

I got 52k targets killed (bases not included) with 34k air targets and 18k ground targets and 419 naval.

= 2,4 kills per spawn (bases not included).

You got 92k air battles

You got 201k targets killed, 101k air, 99k ground, 1600 sea.

=2,1 kills per spawn (bases not included)

And air targets pay more money.

I got 9366 battles in general and died 13223 times.  (1,4 death per battle)

You got 24248 battles in general and died 82453 times. (3,4 death per battle)

Not sure if the earned SL in the profile are before prem bonus (think it was base SL earned) or not, so I leave that one out.

It doesn't matter how many "prems" you use.

You kill less and you die more often.

You earn less SL from what you have done in the battle and you pay a higher amount of those SL for repairs.

That is "what you have done in a mission".

But in the analysis, you have already factored in the death rate in your first stat: How many kills per spawn (death). Why would it matter how many times you repeat this cycle in a mission? Every time he dies, on average he takes 2.1 enemies with him. You are about 15% apart.

Yeah, i should have gone for ground and air kills because ground usually does not pay as much - well, these days it depends on the BR difference between you and what you kill...

But these days some AI ground stuff is hardly paying the bill of the bomb you need for it either...

But a part of the money you earn after the battle comes from the activity.

You die, respawn and return to battle, you loose activity, you loose money.

Number of deaths can make the difference if you will be able to pay the bill (including repairs) from the battle and make money or not.

Respawning doesn't lose activity. Only if you sit in your spawn til you die. Basicly don't consider anything other then passive gameplay as effecting that score anything else is too minor.
