Depending on the time you need to load and how long the way to the battle is, it can make a big difference.

There are people who struggle with the activity, just because they suicideattack all the time.

No if your moving towards the battle or in the spawn menu that doesn't count toward inactivity.

Must have been changed then.

When upgrading some of my bad jets I was struggling with activity too.

Spawned far away from the battle line, not the fastest jet and some of them are not very competitive so respawn and again. In the end it was like 60% activity.

Might have been a problem with some maps too, after spawnpoints for jets were moved further away.

 

And loading time (not spawn selection menue) was not counting to activity in the past too.

Add in some not so good tactical decisions and as it seems a lack of damage knowledge and you are there.

 

I've already admitted to having a joystick and yes, I use virtual cockpit.  Unfortunately I don't have any of the sensitivity settings that are present in any of the joystick guides.  I don't have 8 hours a day to spend on this, I get an hour if I'm lucky.  Take a look at my Swedish diary, its taken me a week to get one plane.  Average SL is 165 and average RP is 88 and I'm $6k SL in the hole.

There is a correlation though, if your ARP is high it's because you were very active, if you're very active chances are you helped win more than somebody rather inactive.

 

In air AB for me it's 90% ARP / 70% winrate, for The4thAmigo it's 37% ARP / 43% winrate, for Dodo_Dud 73% ARP / 58% winrate... for you it doesn't show any stats at all?

And upgrading 7.x Jets is a pain too. You will wait 5+min for a match...

 

 

While there are games where I am at the lower parts of the scorebord, usually you will find me in the upper 1/3, with a good amount of kills, or GTs or TNTdmg (depends on what I want to do) and usually I do see the end of the match.

Why you don't go for Sim.

Srsly, you want to use a stick, ok, Sim is the mode everyone has to do so.

You want to use virtual cockpit - whyever, while everyone else is using 3rd person for an better overview of the situation.

In Sim everyone has to use the real cockpit.

 

It has nothing to do with how many hours you play, it has something to do with you kinda trying to fly a full flight sim at the action mode of this game.

And while Arcarde is more sim than many flight action games, and while sim is far away from any hardcore sim, you are kicking yourself into the nuts.

Why not joining the mode, that is the closest to your preferences? And if you don't meet anybody at the enduring confrontations, who cares, go for the ground stuff and get SL and XP.

Um, yeah, tried that once.  Never again.  Severely outclassed.  I did try RB for a bit but basically its me flying to a base to bomb it then getting shot down on my return to the airfield.  Repeat ad nauseum.

But a part of the money you earn after the battle comes from the activity.

You die, respawn and return to battle, you loose activity, you loose money.

 

Number of deaths can make the difference if you will be able to pay the bill (including repairs) from the battle and make money or not.

 

Without analyzing my stats in more detail cause to be quite honest I don't really care  I have been playing this game nearly daily since 2014 and I've noticed the times I look my stats over the last few years  have improved noticeably over my first few years . So I have been playing worse to accumulate nearly 50k SL ( with not a lot of premium time , maybe 2 months worth total? ) and now I play better only to steadily lose SL. I was just noting my experience with SL

Playing to achieve a single objective rather then just playing a good game will make you a worse player stat wise and doing so makes you the problem, not the game. You need to balance playing the battle to win with the objectives of the battlepass. Just battlepass will not do you or your team a service.

Otherwise it was just a statement. I play better I get worse rewards . This dates back at least 2 years now. When I was grinding I got better rewards now I don't .  It's simply the state of the game . Gaijin wants to sell premium time  I get it  again they're not a charity .

you are clearly even with your own statements the problem with your results. dont blame Gaijin when plenty of people play and have no problems grinding. thats on you.

To be honest, I don't "care" about the team either.

 

Other players (even more bombers) are a good bait for enemy fighters. Enemy fighters that are focused on a target are easy prey.

But if bombers killed all bases and try to bomb the airfield with to small loads I will only stick around, when there are a lot of kills for me. And for sure, I will only help you if you stay high up...

 

If only a few GTs are needed for the win, or if I got the daily quest to kill some GTs, I will go for them or even switch my plane for it.

I won't throw myself into the meatgrinder though.

 

If I bomb the bases, I might try to snipe pillboxes, but for my personal reward I will go for the airfield, fully knowing, that it is only for my personal gain.

 

The only thing I "do" for my team is to focus people who spawn in with bombs if I can.

 

But in the end everything is about my own reward and that comes from my kills and my damage done.

Win can be nice, but if I do need a win for breaking even, I ***** up.

 

And if I throw out to much money for change the daily tasks, I ***** up too and should think about if other tasks or other weapon types are an option...

Gaijin's changes to battle activity did drop the activity % at the end of matches. As well as that, their large scale economy changes have been good for a select few vehicles and generally been nasty for the majority. For the most part earning multipliers have dropped over the past couple of years, battle activity dropping significantly because of the changes to how it was calculated and proxy points being removed certainly helped to drop earnings more.

 

I honestly don't get it. The grind is mind-numbing and does the opposite of encouraging people to grind to get new stuff, and in general just promotes playing only to the meta instead of mucking around and having fun. It's silly and counter-intuitive.

I never had a problem grinding. .I got almost 50 million SL while I was grinding .  I don't grind anymore because I will likely never play the planes so why bother .  I play low -mid BRs because that's where the last remaining fun in Matchmaking Thunder is. And I can still regularly get reward planes

 

My point was my results are *better* now than they were regardless of why I play and what I play ( I used to play a *lot* of Ground AB  and I was bad at it.). My average win rate , my placement in the team my k/d  all better . The difference is now I have a general decline ( very slow but a decline ) of SL while up untill a few years ago I didn't .  I understand why and I explained why . Gaijin has changed the economy of the game in order to incentivize premium time purchasing. This isn't me bashing on Gaijin for the economy it's the reality.

This is a misunderstanding of the game economy and the changes they made. There was no reduction in earnings just earnings were balanced more between winning and losing and repairs were changed to reflect the tier I stead of their performance so now tanks that cost 35k to repair now cost half that.

If I understand him right, his "change" to the eco is, that he is throwing tons of SL on rerolling the dailies because not all are well liked.

Another one.  At the higher tiers it becomes almost meaningless due to the cost of the modifications.  You actually lose money over time unless you are within the top 3 every game.

It wasn't for lack of trying. I've never had a game where I've gotten 7 air kills so this was unusual for me. Usually I barely get a 1:1 K/D ratio. I finally played a decent game and got crap for rewards.  Sure I bought one module but if you finish and purchase research on more than one plane you get negative SL.  How many games does it take to get a Tier IV or V plane when your net SL gain is less than 1,500 SL?  If my math is right its between 200 and 300 games for a plane that costs over 180,000SL when you factor in crew training.  Non-premium players are punished on purpose at the higher tiers.

I don't know why it says 2 minutes.  I only had 2 planes but I was in the game much longer.  But, here's some better games with paltry rewards.  First game I used a JU-88 A4 the entire time to destroy bases and no one attacked me.  That's a lucky event that will never happen again.  The 2nd game was all in the B-34 and I got lucky with "dogfighting" for the air to air kills.  About 1/3 to 2/3 of earnings goes into buying modifications.  Multiply that by an entire tech tree and it costs serious money for non-premium players.
