Suggesting these mid-80's NATO ammo very quickly runs into the problem of what their performance realistically is. 

 

If difficulty getting reputable information and/or basing penetration values on estimated numbers is what inhibits APFSDS from being added into the game, then what's the point of having 2nd Gen composite tanks if their armor can barely be penetrated?

Well for all intents and purposes, the game doesn't deserve them right now (and probably not for the next year or more) and armor mechanics (3D pen models/composite material properties) need an entire rework to make it even possible.

 

You got any other reasons?

I agree, the engine might also need some new capabilities. Once those mechanics are in game, we can mive on.
