I have more!

Do you have a front turret array to go with that Abrams, or just those side turret arrays? None of those pictures are new or reveal anything I didn’t already know.

The gentleman was asking for schematics; where they would have measurements of thickness down to the millimeter and tolerances for machining. Along with some indication of what materials would be in the array; those are guesses based on destroyed tanks. Which while they offer insight; are not in any way shape or form even close to a schematic.

So try again.

Alright guys, I was part of this thread getting off topic too, but while the M1 is only a short stretch, going into all the different kinds composite armor out there is pretty far off topic.

So this "composite module" is unlikely to be an actual armor array (if the schematic illustrating it is correct), which means it's probably a silica based material. That would make it more than possible to model, we just need to find some documents on it. The best place to start might be a Teledyne Continental Motors document that Hunnicutt references in Patton. If anybody has any leads on it that would be great.

Actually; these are the most detailed drawings of the T-72 anyone has posted to my knowledge. I also like how you have the image with estimates below the diagram and they seem to line up nicely.

Still not an M1 though : P

Well judging by current developments I would say now more than ever are we likely to see vehicles of this nature implimented into the game.

Yeah at this point we could see any of these in Tier 6 (bold = confirmed):

Spoiler

  • T-64 (1966)
  • T-64A (1967)
  • T-64B (1983)
  • T-64AM/AMV (1983/1985)
  • T-64BM/B1/B1M (1983)
  • T-64BV/BV1 (1985)
  • T-64R (Premium)
  • T-64T (Premium)
  • T-72 Ural (1973)
  • T-72/72V Ural (1976)
  • T-72A/AV (1979)
  • T-72B/BA/BV (1985)
  • T-80 (1976)
  • T-80B (1978)
  • T-80BV (1985)
  • T-80U (1985)

.

I do hope Gaijin expands lower tiers before building-out Tier 6 so that we can have lower BR spread :B10:

/XM1 (PV1 to PV11)/

Why the FSED pilot vehicles? Other than a minor suspension modification to keep from throwing tracks as easily they appear to have gone into production basically "as is." The Chrysler and GM prototypes would add a lot more diversity to the tree (and wouldn't necessarily have to have the same BR as the M1).

I bolded a few more as they are now confirmed! And I do agree, I also think that a further softening of the Ground forces grind and the removal of the RP/SL soft cap would dramatically improve player experience and help retain long term players.

To answer the poll I'd have to say this thing looks like it would be on the Syfy channel so no I don't really think I'd ever want to play it anytime soon.

This looks like it should be on the syfy channel thus you don’t want to play it, but the your okay with the one tank in game with the legit name ‘Starship’?

I liked the info but must make a correction, this isn't by far the last Patton since someone recently came out with a modernization pack fairly similar to the Super M60, this modernization has been available since 2017 by Leonardo Defense, slightly older is the Raytheon M60 SLEP that has been available since 2016, this one is fairly minimalistic when compared to the rest, lastly there's also the simplest upgrade proposed for the M60, the 120S (or M60-2000) that consisted on swaping it's turret for a M1 Abrams turret with the 120mm gun

either way the Super M60 is more interesting since it also adds protection, no modernization program is worth it if it does not at least add applique armour to the front of the M60

Feel like this is less out of place with introduction of the MBT-70, Abrams, and other M60 variants... would make for a nice connecting tank, but I'd prefer it was optional-research rather than forced-research.

I could definately see that being the case a branch off of the M60 RISE.

True then add the M60-2000 as the last tier tank (below it) for this off branch it will pretty unique off-branch if M60-2000 is very possible to be added anyway.

US would have a pretty good line up of MBT, a off-branch upgraded M60's then M1's add that with their IFV being added aka Bradley and some Light tanks like the prototype aka M8 Buford damn im just drooling thinking about it despite it will take years for me to grind them out.

it's based on the M60A3 model so it'd have to be foldered under that. otherwise it'd make as much sense as the IT-1 (T-62 chassis) did, arriving 1 major patch before the actual T-62.

so hey gaijin gets to ruthlessly butcher one MORE old and busted M60 model before they can add the modernized new hotness!

well the Type 89 SPAAG is frequently nicknamed after a similar-looking gundam so there is that.
