As I said once, I literally know nothing about planes or ships, unfortunately. :018:

It took me several years to make my own collection of tanks from all over the world and their overall knowledge (and practicing of building different tech trees), so even if I start learning air forces as well, it would took too much time anyway.

Ah, darn. To the ITT then!

what is it built off of

It's built off of SPOT-55 which is Czech T-55. Apparently the ex-soviet countries did this sort of thing a lot. Ukraine even built a giant fire extinguisher cannon system and mounted it on a T-62. I knew the Czechs did this with old OT-64s but this is a little extreme. Still super cool though.

Thank you for the vehicles, but the problem is.. they were not built. I do not have anything against not built vehicles, but War Thunder today is not about any project stuff like this (they even removed E-100 and Maus from researchables), unfortunately. I would like to include them into my tree, but community will not welcome that.

For the first one aka T25 spg I can understand cause it was only a life-size mockups for the second one aka lp157 its more a similair situation like the coelian where only the turret was a mockup the hull was just a czechslovakian T34 85 hull the 4x12.7mm one is called the lv157 and it was build and tested but they didnt like the design since its crew was exposed and the range finder was hard to use so they decided not to manufacture it and instead went with the m53/59 praga also i the lv157 has 4 vz53 12.7 mg's and not 20mm's

This oddly named tank ("leták" in Czech means "a flier" or "a pamphlet", not really ) was one of the last cases of independent Czechoslovak design under the difficult conditions of the sovietisation of the 50's. It was concieved in 1954 as a floating tank, much like the later Soviet PT-76. The word "leták" was not intended as its name, it was merely a codeword. The main goal was to build a floating light tank, using the components of the T-34/85, namely the V-2 engine with the weight of 15 to 20 tons. Due to one previous floating tank project (VOŽ), a suspension and floating system were already available. The suspension consisted of torsion bars and thanks to that, the vehicle was rather fast: 60 km/h on hard surfaces. In the end, the vehicle was to weight cca 15 tons and was to be armed with an autoloaded 57mm Czechoslovak gun. Design works began in earnest by the end of 1954, but in 1955 an order came to stop the new projects, including this tank. Despite that, the already finished concept was send to Soviet Union for evaluation. The Soviets replied favourably - they however suggested the tank to be armed with an 76mm or even 85mm cannon and to use lighter engine, namely the V-6. The tank was even judged to be better than the Soviet concept of PT-76, but even that didn't help - the Czechoslovak army scrapped the project in February 1956.

The lv 157 was not implemented as you said due to the fact that the crew was exposed, instead the Vz.53 quad was placed onto Praga V3s creating something like M16 mgmc. Also if you are interested I updated my personal collection of czechoslovak vehicles that could be added.

This is how I would want it. Some of the BR’s on the OP’s thread are unreasonable. Also this version tries to avoid copy and paste vehicles

I definitely want to see all Czechoslovak vehicles (idc if they were built or not) in the game. But I don't think like this. Rank 1 looks super fun, tons of domestic vehicles, most of them were built and used in some scale and there is more than enough. Rank 2 is still acceptable, though the number of vehicles per BR goes steeply down. Later on, it's just a mess of ww2 used vehicles by Czechoslovak army and German equipment left after the occupation. Actually these were often modified into party domestic designs, but later on it just gets terrible with the soviets coming in. Then there are some unique modifications like the Scarab, but I would leave out the self propelled howitzers, those are just trucks with huge guns and they have no place in the game yet sadly.

Honestly, Czechoslovak industry had so much potential in terms of not exactly numbers, but quality and I'm not talking about that they armed tens of foreign armies. The fact it got diplomatically squashed by it's allies, then occupied by Germany before the war and by Soviets after the war is just one of the most depressing things in warfare history. I would just love to see where Czechoslovak designs would evolve.

if this was built and functioned, then +1 from me

OP should add it to the tree

The PT-76 is pretty fun, despite how awful it is in-game. I would welcome an unstabilised one that could comfortably sit wherever its gun belongs

Very nice work on the air tree. Looks like plenty yo warrant adding to the game. I really hope Czech is the next tree to be added.

I'd personally prefer to see a Yugoslav tree, but I'd be 100% okay with a Czech tree.
