Yesterday  i was playing arcade tanks and the planes i spwned was almost muted. For example i spwned with a bomber jet(soviet, dont know about names XD maybe a TU) even with his huge engines a full power the sound was almost muted, once i released the bombs too,no sound of them falling down. But was a AA 1km or more under and behind me and the wush wush wush wush of their bullet coming to me was very loud and the only thing i heard

Sorry for all you effort to make the sound better, but it isn't. The sound were really great before the last update. Why do you change something good with space invaders sound? It's like watching the 1960 batman with al lot of unnecessary sound that doesn't match with a war/tank game. It's like Maximus_007 and BuFFaLoSouLjaH told it's sounds like Loony Tunes or a pinball machine from long time ago. It's too munch!

If you want to change something, give everybody the possebility to change the soundvolume of the planes and tanks separate, so you can hear the tanks while you don't get deaf by a plane at the same time.

absolutely correct bad sound, not all types have passed through but that doesn't sound complete at all. Bass is missing, almost everything sounds like my son's New Year's Eve fireworks. for me a no go. I am currently playing without sound

Dear Players

Most of the players would be happy if you just load the old sound files...

The sound was fine bevor the update!

Changing sounds in every patch shouldn't be you focus! You should work on quality of life stuff! For example give us more vehicle presets, 14 are not enough!

I have to add, that the sounds themself are not my main concern. It's the mix that make it annoying and unrealistic. You should not hear the wissle of 50 cal flying by in a closed tank or a planes cockpit. You should not hear missile engine burning off hundret meters away in a plane. You shoul not even hear the tank next to you over your own engine. So what bothers me the most is the sounds that shouldn't be there at all while those are the loudest atm.

Leaning towards what @nazradu2 said, the sounds themselves sound alright, it's the balance/level between the sounds. Also as others pointed out the other annoying thing is the limit on the amount of sounds playing as well as how they interfer with each other (e.g. how shots passing by suddenly lower/drown-out engine sounds).

Best regards,

Phil

I currently do not like the new high pitch party sounding whizzing of shells flying over you, or how the artillery sounds like those popper things that people use on the 4th of July, or as how everyone I talk to says the artillery sounds like bottle rockets not 152 mm He shell exploding.  Could you please revert those sounds and fix a glitch were you don't here the shots of AA being fired at you in an air craft until you die please.

I don't know if it's realistic, but the sound of 30-40mm shells exploding on the ground sound like someone's making popcorn or lighting a bunch of tiny firecrackers, which sounds pretty bad in my opinion. Jet engines are way too quiet, I often don't hear a jet approaching until it flies past me and when I fly one I can barely hear its engines running. Also, the "ricochet" sound of explosions nearby seems way too exaggerated.

This isn't direct feedback on the sounds, more the way the project has been exported. We are highly aware that it's being exported solely in 5.1 surround ignoring an export for stereo, which is resulting in atrocious directional sound on the overwhelming majority of stereo setups that are likely by far the most common. Further, with exported old projects we seem to be getting cutting out of audio where the number of sources permitted has been lowered.

Rather than castrating our audio experience for the lowest spec, please maintain the stereo branch at minimum so forward sounds aren't randomly switching to a single channel, and give options for players as to how many sound sources there are - those on low spec can lower them as needed!

The sounds before this update were very authentic, and now almost everything sounds very bad, with the exception of the sounds for the ATGM - very similar to those I heard at the training ground and this is the only thing I like. I really hope that there will be a return to the old sounds.

Now is better than yesterday, now i cant hear only wush wush wush of flying bullet what is nice! I can hear the arty again and not a robot dancing around me :good:
Some gun calibers on tanks mute all other sounds for a second +/-
Almost all calibers sound the same
But so much better than yesterday so,ok something is something. :D

the two gripes i have with the sound design right now are how loud AAs sound, especially when they decide to shoot tanks instead of planes, and how the bullet whizzing by can overwrite the sound of you getting hit. i sadly do not have a clip but when it happens to me its usually when i die at the same time someone else misses me
also the whiff sound is very cool but lower it please :)

The new Sounds are good. The Probelm with them is that they are all over the place.. with 5.1 the Sound is ON or OFF on the Speaker that represents the direction but is most of the time OFF. with Stereo the Sound is just LEFT or RIGHT, there is no Sound on both Speakers at the same time.

Example with Stereo:

Tank is driving 90° on the left Side from me. Sound is just on the left Speaker. ~all good~

Me watching 45° to the left.. Sound becomes more silent (already bad). No extra Sound comes to the right Speaker.. ~not good~

Me watching directly on the Tank next to me = no Sound/Tank doesn't exicsts?   ~really bad :c~

some sounds are terrible, some sounds are better,

sometimes i think the soundsystem is to old,

why not implementing Miles Sound System for example, it would fit the game so much more better.

The sound changes were a mixed bag, some weapons and guns sound much while others sound worse. The biggest issue I've seen people talk about it how there is less 'boom' with the sounds and the lack of reverb and echoing from firing.

Exactly. The bass seems to gone from all the heavy guns.

Edit; the dead tank exploding is way too loud.

This...an enemy tank should disappear when it’s destroyed. Or just leave it dead on the battle field. Either way, get rid of it’s high explosion when it disintegrates

Firstly, the sound package before was in my opinion perfect. When arty was coming down, one would know to move because it sounded dangerous. Now it sounds like someone is shooing me with a pellet gun. Also, the sounds of a friendly, enemy, plane, and artillery fire all sounds the same. It's extremely hard to differentiate who is actually shooting at you. Please get rid of the cheap pin ball sounds and go back to the previous sound package.                                                                 IF IT AN'T BROKEN.................DON'T FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Again...exactly. They were dead on with the sounds just before this. If they wanted to add the whizzing effect of close fire, fine, but everything else should have stayed the same.

I stopped playing almost 2 months ago, I returned recently and game indubitably sounds worse then when I've departed.
You did a lot of experimentation back then, it seemed that you finally got it right and then you suddenly felt a need to change EVERYTHING, again.

Why?
