Yes, there were only 2 made, it was dropped in favour of Tiger. Tho those 2 prototypes were really effective. It could destroy everything it faced from ranges 2km+.

Well, yes. So one (1) vehicle got -supposedly- 22 kills.

 

Pretty small sample size, isn't it?

 

Anyway, I'm not doubting the effectiveness of the 12.8cm gun... but that's all there is, isn't it? A good gun. The rest of the vehicle (speed, armor) are not really that impressive. And it carried only 15 rounds...

Yes for the Sturer Emil. Bad armor and mobility? I take it as a challenge. Good thing in WT you don't have to play a vehicle if you don't like it, just unlock the next one in the branch with your other tanks. But I want this in the game, especially looking at that 32(?) killcount on the gun.

I love when people say it is slow, armor is bad. Who cares, each tank his it's own pros and cons. This one's pros being the great gun and cons as being it's mobility, and armor. You have my vote.

That's why it would no be an OP tank destroyer, I would say maybe a high Tier 4.

More like late tier 3, with Tigerlike br. Dont forget, no armour, meh mobility and long reload.

i think this could be a 4.7BR  at that BR there's a lot of tanks that would kill it very easily

so yeah it's gun would be more powerful than a jagdtiger but only 15 round ( without any way to re-arm currently ) and crazy slow + bad armor would not exactly make it an unbeatable monster especially on small maps

Tier 3 is alright place for it.

Yes a little bit, 12.8 cm cannon can take out pretty much anything it wants

And with 15mm side armor and being a giant lumbering thing... anything will take it out. xD

This is a support vehicle, not a front line tank. Used wisely you can and will do alot of damage.

It could destroy any allied tank from 2km+.. It didnt need more armour. 

 

It's like ppl talking about Ferdinand that it didnt have mg... But it was not intended to fight infantry.

So when was the last time you engaged anyone in War Thunder over such a distance?

 

And since the Ferdi wasn't intended to fight infantry they of course had no right to attack and destroy them, I see. Those bastards just didn't respect the role of a TD...
