"In time" so you mean I'll have to wait until the US has F-15's and F-16's and the USSR has Su-30's and Su-33's? Because that's what it feels like. Gaijin really seems to neglect all non US/USSR jet trees. It took Gaijin well over a year to give Germany a worse copy-paste F-4E, and almost a year to give them a slightly better copy-paste MiG-21bis. Both these aircraft were already becoming quite obsolete by the time Germany finally got them. So if I "just be patient" who's to say the same thing won't happen? That Germany will only get AIM-9L's for the F-4F by the time the US and the USSR are already firing AMRAAM's and Adders at eachother from distances of over 100 km?

No. Likely the next balance patch, same as likely the rest of the top tiers that could carry them. Quit getting your panties in a bunch.

Someone said something similar to me when I asked when Germany would get the F-4F after the US got the F-4E. They ended up being off by a full year.

You realize Germany was stuck with basically the mig 21MF and F104G for an entire year before they even got a top tier equivalent at the time. The F4E was released on March 2020, germany didn't get the F4F early till March 2021 and it was an event vehicle. The tech tree F4F late came out in June 2021, and that jet only had 4x Aim 9Js and flares, while other phantoms had access to sparrows and and other nations had like 6 missiles. Mind you, the F4F late was released along with the Mig 23M. So at that point you can't even say Germany got a "top tier" jet, the only actual top tier jet germany got was the German Mig 21bis with R60MKs in Oct. 2021.

 

So the fact you are trying to make it seem that this is just hysteria or whatever is disingenuous, especially when its shown that its take a year or a year and a half to recieve a competitive top tier jet

Not to mention the F-104G only got buffed once the newer better planes got introduced, then had its BR raised quickly. Making it just awful to play.

Because it’s the only subsonic at 11.0.

 

As another example, the Harrier GR.3 should have 9Ls but it doesn’t. 

 

If you look a little further it’s not just the Germans not receiving their ‘historical’ armaments. 
 

F-104 ASA is currently the only supersonic that gets the 9L.

 

My defence of minor nations aside, with the Mirage 2000 receiving the Magic 2, I don’t see why the 9L would be a problem for the F-4F.

there are so many all aspect missiles around 11.0...

mig 23M/MF, MiG-21bis-SAU, Mirage F1C/CT, Mirage 2000C, F-104S-ASA, Harrier GR.7, MiG-27(whatever variants there are), i think some Su-22 has them as well

 

there is no reason for the F-4F to not get 9Ls

Its not just lack  of Aim-9L or the total lack of radar missiles....also the CAS loadout is worse: 2 Mavericks F-4F vs. 6 (!!) for F-4E. F-4F also has no GBU's, while F-4E can mount several ones, even combined with Mavericks. So at the end you've got 6 Mavericks + 2 GBUs -> 8x guided ammunitions .... vs. yeeee just 2 Mavericks for the F-4F. Gajin is just no fair.

 

The anti-air and ground strike capability of the F-4F is clearly impaired, but still there's no BR reduction and no buff of its capabilities.

Maybe we should suggest a change in the BR or add the Aim-9L

Its towards the upper end of its BR bracket (11.0) in terms of efficiency currently if we are referring to the Late model.
